Help 4 sweetest service dog Terra

Donation protected
Terra was born and breed to be a service dog. She is given a puppy raiser at the age of 8 weeks. This puppy raiser cares, trains, socializes and loves the puppy. Terra’s goal is to be placed as service dog to someone with special needs when she turns 2 years old.

Terra is a sweet, fun, happy, and loving puppy that would have made someone very happy. One month before her 1st birthday, Terra was being a puppy and was running and playing. She was happy and having a lot of fun. Then she started not using her back left leg. Her puppy raiser thought that maybe she pulled a muscle. After the third day her puppy raiser took her to the Veterinarian. He did x rays and discovered that her ligament in her left leg was “broke”. This made her puppy raiser very sad. This veterinarian did not want to do surgery because Terra is so young and might not be done growing. He suggested a Specialist.

Terra’s puppy raiser called the organization which Terra is a part of. They said to go ahead and make the appointment with the Specialist. The Specialist agreed with the first Veterinarian and scheduled surgery for the next day. The surgery was estimated at $5,000.00. The organization did not want to pay that amount. They released her from the program. Terra could no longer become a service dog as she was meant to be. The puppy raiser said that she did not have $5,000.00. They suggest to postpone the surgery to decide what to do. They called in some favors and got a different Specialist to do the surgery for a reduced fee. The second Specialist examined Terra and advised that both legs needed the same surgery. The organization agreed to pay the Specialist fee and the puppy raiser would have to pay the surgery room rental fee, estimated at $1,000.00. Once all was said and done that puppy raisers portion was not $1,000.00 but up to $3,000.00. By this time the puppy raiser just wanted Terra fixed and would keep Terra for her own personal dog.

Terra had the surgery and is doing quite well. She never once was not herself, a loving, happy, sweet puppy that you cannot help but love.

So now we are trying to help the puppy raiser to pay for her portion of the surgery, $3,000.00.
