Steve was in an unfortunate accident on Saturday night in Nelson BC. He was flown to Kelowna hospital and had a 4.5 hour surgery on his brain. He is now in the ICU.  There was bleeding on his brain and we are hoping for the best. As far as I know, he is in a medical coma to stop the swelling. Please donate to help his wife and little daughter get through this very difficult time! Anything helps. Thanks and please share this page.

"Steve is fighting with everything he has, we are waiting for him to show us a sign and the next few days are critical. Please send every ounce of love and prayers to our Steve (Webby) he will feel them!"

This is hard. I used to always ask Steve stupid little questions, I asked him once if he could be any animal what would it be. He gave it some thought as he does and said a bald eagle....Obviously.....Anyone who knows steve knows his love for flying, the sky is huge, freedom is limitless. Today steve was set free to fly, to soar through the mountains. For the last 9ish years Steve chose me to be there with him through the ups and downs of life, the laughter the tears the love the joy, and for that I am forever grateful for all of it every minute. I knew from the beginning, that very first moment steve was different, he’s not like anyone else I know, his heart is big almost too big. A gentle soul. A thoughtful soul. In his mind as much as his heart. He felt so good to be around.
Steve is the best dad. I cannot do what he does I cannot fill his shoes for Skyler. A part of us is missing And his loss is felt hard and deep but that’s ok. Atleast we had him and that means something.
Strength to everyone who loved him and Everyone he loved, As we come together to let him soar. Steve, I love you I love you I love you.

Steve had his MRI, in which they were looking for damage in his brain stem. There was no damage there but significant damage elsewhere. What does this mean, we wait longer… The brain is a mysterious and complex Organ Doctors cannot tell what will happen to Steve. And the only thing that will is time. The waiting is horrible, it’s a roller coaster, But it’s all we can do either way. Carolyn.

An update for Webster. “We are now at DAY6 which feels like months. He is fighting hard to stay with us but hasn’t been able to change his physical condition yet. Not awake but we hope and know he can hear us.” Carolyn.
