Help For Nevaeh

Two days ago my nieces and nephews were playing in grandma's yard and Neveah got poked in the eye with a stick. What seems like a "normal kid thing" has escalated into a family crisis. Neveah's mother is currently unavailable. She has, along with her 5 siblings, been in my disabled mother's care.

When she was rushed to Wolfson's Children's Hospital my mom, Neveah's grandmother, went with her. The nearest pediatric cornea specialist needed to try and save Neveah's eye is in Tampa. So, Neveah and her grandma were transferred there very early Tuesday morning. (The injury occured around supper time on Monday.) Initial surgery was done on Tuesday.

It didn't occur to anyone, until she was already 4 hours away, that my mother had nothing with her. Just her license and $4. I went to my social media and asked friends in Tampa if they could help with a meal or a couple dollars to help my mom until we figured out what to do next. Almost instantly people were asking us if we had a go fund me set up so that they could help. 

I was hesitant because we initially thought it was only going to be for a day or two and I have a difficult time asking for help. However, doctors have informed us that Neveah is going to be in the hospital for weeks, not days... and we need help.

I have no idea how much help we need so the goal isn't set in stone. We just need help with all the unexpected expenses. Food, drink, toiletries, gasoline, other car fluids, etc. Anything you can spare would help us tremendously. None of us we prepared for this.
