Help for Kolhapur and Sangli flood victims
Donation protected
Between August 1 and August 10, rains hit south-west Maharashtra state (India) and unexpected aggressive floods took over the cities of Kolhapur and Sangli. The cities are left paralyzed with many dead and more than 100,000 (1 lakh) people displaced with no basic necessities like food, clean water and clothes. These people include children of all ages and women who are fighting for their survival.
More than 500 small villages have been dangerously affected. More than 50,000 homes have been destroyed completely. The water levels have covered entire buildings in some areas. There is no electricity, no water supply. All the highways are entirely covered with floods making it difficult for any resources to reach the cities. All the essentials like fuel, vegetation, medication etc. are exhausting .
Kolhapur is my birth place so watching all these sufferings have saddened me deeply. So I thought I could try to help and contribute in every possible way.
Your small donation can help us rehabilitate these families and set up the villages around like before.
