Help finish my workshop

Donation protected
Hello:

My name is Jim Hrisoulas. I am a full time bladesmith/blacksmith that is in a bit of   bind due to project cost overruns. on building my new studio.. To make it short..I am $7700.00 short on funds to finish my workshop here in our new home in Spring Hill, Florida. I thought I had enough money set aside ($27500.00) from the sale of our home in Henderson, NV to cover the costs of building the new workshop..but there were some serious unforeseen hidden costs and fees that arose and now I am simply running out of funds. Costs like the additional amounts for  pre-construction termite spray ( it is a metal building..no wood here at all but it was needed anyway because the State of Florida said so)..extra fees on digging the  154 foot trench thanks to the over abundance of roots we encountered, and several more cost overruns .... It added up quick and they really  drained my  "construction surplus" that I had just in case..

The most bitter part is I can not work due to the fact that  all my equipment is still in Henderson, NV and besides my building is still not finished.  So I am turning to Go Fund Me and placing this in the hands of the Wise Lord and maybe I will be able to work my way out of this with His help and yours.

The $7700.00 will give me enough to run water and power to my new studio (150 feet away) finish the 110/120 wall sockets and overhead lights (the 220/240 circuits are finished), connect the electric service and back fill the trench  and then dig out and pour the isolation pad for my power hammer, as well as pour both the entrance apron and walkway in the front of the building by  both the entrance and overhead door as well as install the rain gutters.

Any help is appreciated as I stand to loose everything if I can not get this studio finished. Time is short..I have two weeks or else things get really bad. I am not asking for something for nothing.. I do have a proposal:

Every one who donates over $20.00 will get a 10% discount on any custom knife, sword, dagger or pattern welded steel blade order they may wish to place with me once I am back up and running. This is my way of saying THANK YOU to those that helped me in this dire time.

I hate to do it this way, but I am between a rock and a hard place and at this point in my life..having to start over from nothing..that is something I would like to avoid at all costs.

For those that are interested in seeing what I do make..please visit my website as there are pieces there listed  ready for sale that I made prior to leaving Nevada. The  real kicker is..if I was to sell the 5 high end pieces I would be good to go.. Only time will tell and I am getting short on time.

My website is www.atar.com

I am not a fly by night "want to be"..I am looking at 50 years of doing this..with three books published (and still in print) on the subject of hand forging.. The itles are "The Complete Bladesmith", "The Master Bladesmith" and "The Pattern Welded Blade"..  I am just in a terrible situation and I am respectfully asking for whatever help that folks may give. Even if you choose not to donate, please spread the word about my predicament,  that alone may help find those who would like to come to the aid of an old blacksmith trying to get back on top of things.

Getting back to be able to work is very important to me, not only in the financial end but also I am keeping an ancient art alive and this will allow me to continue to teach others  who are truly interested in learning "the old ways" of hand forging high quality blades.

In closing I wish to thank you all for reading this and for whatever help, aid or encouragement you may  render.

THANK YOU and may the Wise Lord Bless you all
