Help Fight With Deb

In the words of Carl Walker (her son):

I wanted to take a few minutes to talk about something that has been weighing heavy on my heart. As many of you know- my mom Debra Slaymaker Walker was involved in a horrific multi-vehicle accident on Friday October 26th in Lititz. I do not feel that I need to repeat the story as it's all over the news and Facebook. My mom is the most humble, give the shirt off her back, wear her heart on her sleeve type of woman and never in a million years did I expect to sit next to her bedside and pray she gains consciousness again. But that's not why I'm writing this. My reason for writing this is to express how truly heart broken and crushed I am for everyone that has been directly and non-directly affected by this accident.
First and foremost: My heart breaks for the parents that have lost their beautiful children and nothing I say will ever make it easier on them. As a father myself it hurts me to know that those parents now have to spend every single day of their lives asking "Why?".
I am also deeply saddened for the boy that remains hospitalized and can only pray he makes a full recovery. His life will never be the same and for that my soul is shattered.
To the other students and teachers immediately involved in the accident: I sincerely hope you are all okay and if not on the road to recovery.
To Warwick School District and the entire Lititz Community: over the last few days you have shown so much love for one another and for that I am grateful. You are all very admirable.

Please do not take life for granted. Love with every inch of your heart and then love some more. This accident was tragic and my prayers remain with all individuals and families involved.
