Build an Education Center in Kenya

How Do I Say No to These Faces?

Three months into my journey as volunteer in Kisii Kenya, I have talked with dozens of women and listened to their stories.  What they need most is an educational center for the dozens of children in villages whose families cannot afford school. Education is not free in Kenya. We had a building donated; now we need books, chairs, desks, tables and a teacher. With your help we will change the future of these children.

After spending time with the strong woman I have had the honor of meeting from different villages, and hearing their stories, I have come to realize that they are the ones who have empowered me. I have truly found my purpose in life.

With your help, these dreams can come true - for as litlle as $3.00, we can buy a chair. Think of the possibilites of even more.

Please donate today

$24 will buy 8 chairs
$50 will buy 10 desks
$120 will cover an annual teacher's salary
$25 will feed 5 children lunch for a month

Your generosity will help change a life.

The Story of  the children of Kisii, Kenya

Kisii is a rural area about 150 miles west of Nairobi, with a regional population of about 29,000. The Kisii project for which I am seeking funding is my work with grandmothers whose own children have died or gone. These women are strong and work incredibly hard. They do not have enough money to feed their grandchildren. Because of this, these children have no opportunuity to attend school. These women want nothing than to break the cycle of poverty by sending their kids to school. It’s that simple. The cost for one student is only $12 a month or $150 a year.

The Plan

In order to make their dream become a reality, I have laid the groundwork for Jo Hannah’s Education Center a program for the dozens of children whose families cannot afford school fees. It will be a place for the children to learn basic reading, writing and math skills, and where they will be provided a good meal each day.
