Urgent Help--Victims of TPLF Regime

The TPLF regimes has embarked on an open massacre of Oromo people since its declaration of “State of Emergency” on February 16, 2018. This was demonstrated on Saturday, March 10, 2018 in the town of Moyale, southern Oromia, where 32 Oromo young men and women were massacred by the TPLF regime’s security forces and many more wounded. The continuous killings of Oromo nationals across Oromia since February 16, 2018 is a clear indication that the TPLF regime has declared an open war on the Oromo people. In the face of such great danger that hangs over Oromo people, the Oromo Diaspora have moral obligation to double and triple their efforts for enabling MTA to provide urgently needed assistance for our displaced people and other victims of TPLF regime in different parts of Oromia.
While the wider world is unaware that in 2017 alone, almost one million Oromo nationals have been deliberately displaced from their homes around the borders of eastern, southeastern and southern Oromia through merciless proxy war conducted by the Tigrean Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF) regime’s security forces and the Somali “Liyu (Special) police, trained, financed and heavily-armed by the Ethiopian government. The attack on defenseless civil population resulted in the death of at least ten thousand Oromo people, plunder of huge resources, and raping of women, young and old – all carried out as part of a forced removal of Oromo nationals from their ancestral lands. This outrage was committed after confiscation of all their fixed and portable property. The displaced Oromo people live in refugee camps, where they are punished by hunger and even killed by the TPLF security forces. We believe that no calling is more urgent at this moment, and more noble than providing relief assistance for the victims of TPLF regime. We reach children, women and men who have been abandoned in numerous camps in different parts of Oromo regional states well as those who need urgent and live saving medical and other materials supports in Oromia. They do not get any support from the TPLF regime that has exposed them to hell on earth. The minority TPLF regime even refused appealing to international community for assistance on behalf of the displaced Oromo people let alone the deliberate massacre across Oromia, recently in Moyale.
With its limited resources, MTA was able to provide desperately needed assistance for the displaced Oromo people in Harar as well as in Bale areas.
