Help Diana Avoid Foreclosure

Donation protected

Local artist, friend, and family member Diana Schuppel is in danger of losing her house to foreclosure and is in need of your help and support to make sure that doesn’t happen. Having just come out of a payment plan due to limited funds, her lender is now demanding $5000 be paid by May 12th in order to keep her house from going into a state of foreclosure. Diana is less than a year away from retirement at which point she should have no trouble covering the monthly mortgage rate. We can’t let her loose the house when she is so close!

The hope for this fund is to, first and foremost, raise enough money to pay the requested $5000 ($5500 to cover GoFundMe costs) in order to keep Diana safe from losing her long time home of 26 years. At that point, the house is in dire need of repair. In particular, the plumbing, electrical, roof, and possibly the foundation which are all in disrepair. So anything raised above the $5500 will aid to offset her monthly mortgage until she reaches retirement as well as to aid in hopefully fixing some of the more immediate problems the house has developed over the years starting with the plumbing.

Diana has been a key member of the Sandpoint community for over 30 years as a respected artist and beloved friend.  She has completed many works of art in and around the Sandpoint area such as the Secret Garden mural in the children’s section of the Sandpoint Public Library, the Hop Fields mural on MickDuff’s Brewery on 3rd and Cedar, the 100 year history of logging in Priest River mural on Highway 2, and 1999’s featured poster for the Festival at Sandpoint to name only a few. She has also created works of art for charity such as painted chair auctions for NAMI (National Association for Mental Illness) and funding for the Public Library.

As many know, it is hard to live the life of an Artist while earning a living. But for many years, Diana has done just that, creating beautiful works of art for all to see and enjoy, making Sandpoint a brighter, more beautiful, colorful, and enjoyable place to be. Now we all have a chance to give a little back by helping her out in her time of need.

Let’s all pitch in to make sure Diana Schuppel can stay near her friends, loved ones, family, and nature where she can continue to create  more beautiful works of art and remain the beloved community member she is by making sure she is able to keep her home of 26 years in beautiful Sandpoint Idaho.
