Help Derpy spread the happiness again

Donation protected
Derpy is a singleton puppy - his mum and siblings died as a result of pregnancy complications. Derpy survived but he was born with cryptorchidism - retained testicles. His testicles did not descend and there were many vessels around them, which could lead to them being cancerogenous even at the earlier stage of his life. We decided to get them removed via abdominal surgery, which was conducted at the veterinary clinic on Thursday, 14th March. Despite a 75% chance of retained testicles becoming cancerous if not removed, his insurance will not cover the surgery or any related matters or complications as a result of it, as it is deemed 'optional'/preventative.

Unfortunately Derpy has not been recovering from the surgery- he has been in a lot of pain, struggling with high fever, hasn't been able to sleep, he does not let anyone touch him. After several injections that gave no results, Derpy was admitted on the 20th of March to receive IV medicines and fluids. The diagnosis is still not confirmed and without scans and tests, the veterinarians cannot administer appropriate treatment. The treatment is likely to be quite expensive (scans themselves are around £1000) and even though we are trying our best with the savings we have, the price of treatment becomes a burden.

Derpy is an amazing pup, he loves everyone and everything. We often say his life mission is to put a smile on everyone's face. He helped me to pull through difficult times of anxiety and depression, being a ray of sunshine that made each day a wee bit better.

We know Derpy has many Friends, probably more than we do, therefore we ask for donations. We don’t normally ask for this stuff but even though we were prepared for things to go bad, we weren’t expecting them to be THAT bad. It breaks our hearts to see him in pain, stressed and confused. The earlier we can get the funds available the quicker we can get the diagnosis and start the treatment.

Every little helps so even if it’s a £5 we will be grateful cause understand we are asking you to give something up. The money will be used for his scans and diagnosis and treatment. Any funds unused for treatment will be transferred to Dogs Trust Charity.

If you have any questions hit us up. We will keep you updated o how the surgery goes.
