Help Deni and Skip fight leukemia

Dear friends,
We are kindly asking you to help our friends Deni and Skip Gordon in their battle with cancer.
As some of you already know on January 31st, 2017 Skip was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML)- a slowly progressing and rare type of blood-cell cancer that starts in the bone marrow. 18 months later after 3 bone marrow biopsies and 2 types of chemo medication, his oncologist have reached the conclusion that in his case the only thing that can save him is a bone marrow transplant done as soon as possible. The team of doctors at Northside Cancer institute is confident that if Skip goes through the transplant procedure in the next few weeks he has 60-70% chance of being cured within a year- if he doesn't the prognosis is that his blood cells will continue to mutate untill he reaches a blast phase when nothing can be done to prevent the cancer from taking his life. Fortinately for Skip, his son Tate is a match and is willing to become a donor. Unfortunatelly, the recovery from such a complicated procedure is 6-12 months. Even if everything goes well, Skip will not be able to work or be in public for at least 6 months because he will have no immune system to protect him. He will need a 24 hour care giver to take him daily to the hospital for blood transfussions for a period of at least 3 months. His wife Deni will have to care for him and their 4 year old son, while trying to work and pay all the bills- a task almost impossible without some help from family and friends. We are asking you kindly to help this family financially survive this hard period in their lives. Let us take part of the burden they are facing and let us give them the piece of mind that at the end of the day they will have a roof over their heads and their utility bills will be paid so they can focus on getting Skip better and winning the fight against cancer!
