Government Shutdown (Indefinite unpaid leave.)

So this is the last thing I ever wanted to do, even as a last resort... But I've exhausted all other options.

I am moving my rabbits and I back to Michigan to both accept a new job, and get somewhere more conducive to a happy, healthy life. I initially moved here to build a home with someone I'd been with for two years. It was a very safe bet at the time, and so I took out a loan in order to afford the move (I was a retired wounded vet who had just finished my degree in college, and basically got my dream job near that partner I had a fairytale-strong relationship with) and am still paying that back. So a loan is not possible. Medical bills have forced me to decimate my savings, so after paying 90% of my June utilities and rent, I have extremely limited funds right this second. Problem is, my partner broke up with me literally a week after I signed a renewed lease for another year. I have to break my lease.

I JUST got word from my new job that I got cleared for a working security clearance, basically, and they want me there ASAP. I also just got word that my leasing office is willing to drop the broken lease fees from like $5000 down to $1700, but the catch is that I need to pay it all up front. I do not have this, and they will not accept payment plans. This is too good an offer to pass up, and I don't want them to pull it off the table. They're working with me, and I'm trying to jump at the opportunity and thank my lucky stars.

The rest comes from needing a moving company to assist in the move due to both the last second nature, my total inability to move large heavy furniture due to my spinal injury, and the fact that I do not have any kind of social network on the ground here, as I only know people through my ex, and he requested people burn bridges with me. I got a quote from a moving company that specializes in this, and is veteran owned and operated. It is extremely reasonable for the full service I need. They quoted me at $2300, though I already feel I'm asking too much, so I'm hoping I can simply raise enough for the deposit needed to secure the contract.

I am in a rough transition spot, and I've always been super independent all my life, so this is hard... Please do not feel obligated to donate, I appreciate even just being heard out. There are so many very worthy fundraisers on this site, after all, and while the stress of everything that's happened in the last 6 months has pushed me to the limit, I know I am still blessed. Any help that can be given, I appreciate, and if there is ever anything I can do in return, I will be more than happy to pay it forward.

Thank you for your time.
