Celebrating Claire

Donation protected
Costs for Claire's  medical needs have exceeded the family's single source of income and now they are faced with the additional costs of a funeral and burial.

There are some specific cost that cannot be covered at this time due to lack of funds.  Right now Claire's burial site will not have a name plaque to mark her resting place.  The cost is too much for the family and will have to wait until funds can be found.

Claire died this past Tuesday, October 2, 2019.
She took her last breath at home while embraced in the loving arms of her parents.  Claire and her family have endured over a year of pain because of cancer,  specifically  Stage 4 Medulloblastoma group 3 brain cancer.

As her parents have said many times, "when a child has cancer, the entire family gets cancer. "

Claire and her family have ferociously fought a hard battle. Claire endured brain surgery, numerous radiation and chemotherapy treatments, surgery for nerve pain, seizures,  hydrocephally, and bone fractures.

Claire pushed through daily physical and occupational therapy even when her body was exhausted, she toughed it out and tried to get stronger.

Through this all, her parents have fought right by her side.  They explored all options to help Claire fight this battle in hopes that she could live a life that was free of this disease and free of pain.

They focused on her quality of life and made choices that no parent should ever have to face.

As you can imagine, this all comes with a cost.

Sleepless nights,  weighing pros and cons,  juggling their family & daily life,  living off of a single income and the ever piling bills and streams of tears.

They fought her cancer with every bit of strength they had.

When they didn't think they had anymore strength, they dug deeper and fought harder.  They explored homeopathic treatments along with treatment options outside of their insurance plan.

These were all necessary steps.  Steps that eventually led to Claire living a bit longer, enjoying  a bit more life and being able to spend quality time wither her family until the end.

This is something that we all could find ourselves doing for the love of a child, more especially for Claire.

Now that Claire has passed on the family has some comfort in knowing that her spirit, that was much bigger than life, will be forever riding her scooter, eating tacos, twirling her way around heaven, and forever by her family's side through the rest of their lives.

She will always be a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a cousin and their Claire Bear.

Please consider making a donation to assist with Celebrating Claire. Your donation is appreciated to help the Fullmer family with these extreme costs.  We know that they appreciate everyone who has shown kindness to their family, who have continued to support them and those who have loved Claire.

We appreciate everyone who has shown kindness to our family, who continue to support us, and who continue to celebrate Claire.
