One Year Post Cancer Diagnosis!

Dear family and friends (and those we don’t yet know),
As many of you know Christine was recently diagnosed with endometrial cancer (at 44) – which was a huge shock as no signs of this were identified previously. She has been unable to work in her role as lecturer at University and has no additional leave to take and is struggling to relieve the pressure of day to day living so that she can focus with lightness on her recovery and upcoming additional surgery and treatment.
She has also recently co-founded a new business that focusses on empowering people to identify their strengths and lead themselves and others with authenticity through finding their passion, ways of creating peak performance and how they can profit in all areas of their life including health, wealth and relationships. This comes from her extensive background in sport and positive psychology, exercise science and her honest realism and desire for people to make changes in their lives to experience higher levels of success.
As a previous elite athlete for New Zealand (indoor and outdoor hockey for 13 years) slowing down physically is not something that comes naturally. She has already shown huge tenacity and resilience over the past few weeks of treatment but needs your help.
We have been so blessed with the warm support we have received and continue to receive from many, and this is what makes the journey bearable and even at times, fun (Christine’s two key non-negotiables in life are to have fun, and demonstrate integrity) – however we are asking for some more practical help at this time in order to move the focus from stress to deliberate recovery.
Funds raised by this campaign will go towards immediate medical and living costs towards a full recovery.
