Help Give Charlie A Chance To Walk Again.

Let’s give 7 year old Charlie “The Wonder Pup” every opportunity to walk again.  Charlie’s story began on January 29, 2018 when he went down in his back with IVDD.  He was taken to NC State Veterinary School for MRI’s and other testing  and had surgery on January 31, 2018 to attempt the repair of the discs that were damaged causing him not to be able to use his back legs.  Wanda's Little Rescues in Raleigh, NC stepped in for his after care and to start the rehabilitation process.  Charlie is a happy, healthy dachshund who is determined to walk again and we here at Wanda’s Little Rescues see that hope and fight in his eyes and body language every day.  Charlie has since gone through acupuncture, laser treatments, water therapy and electro nerve stimulation since surgery, which he has shown great potential by being able to wag his tail, he has great reflex and he will bark when he needs to poop.  This shows the great promise that this amazing baby has.  Wanda’s Little Rescues has done a lot of research on stem cell therapy and the success rate that this has had on IVDD babies and Charlie is ready for his next adventure in the healing process.  Dr. Garner of Safari Veterinary Hospital in League City, Texas would surgically  open the scar from the previous surgery, then place very potent neutral stem cells on top of the lesion, holding them in place with gel foam.  Dr. Garner has performed this procedure several times with great success.  The neutral stem cells are far more potent than the ones that are normally used.  We want to give Charlie this fighting chance and  need your help to do so.  The cost of the procedure is approximately $6000.   We are going to need 2 round trip airline tickets so that a volunteer could accompany Charlie to Texas.  If someone has any Frequent Flyer Miles that they would be willing to donate them to this worthy cause, that would cut down on expenses.  Our volunteer would fly with Charlie to Hobby, Texas and then fly back to NC while Charlie undergoes at least 6 weeks of therapy at Safari Veterinary Hospital in League City, Texas.  The volunteer would then fly back to Texas to accompany him back to our rescue.  Won’t you help us help Charlie to have this chance walk again and be the vibrant “Wonder Pup” he truly is?  No amount is too great or too small because every dollar helps with the flight to Texas and the procedure and rehabilitation.  God has opened this door for us to help Charlie have this chance to walk again and we believe that he WILL walk again.  You can donate through our PayPal at [email redacted] or [email redacted].com, please use the Friends and Family option where there will be no fees taken out.  Thank you and may God bless Charlie, our rescue and anyone willing to help us reach our goal  to help Charlie walk again.  It takes a village to care for these special babies and we here at Wanda’s Little Rescues are dedicated and committed to giving every baby the opportunity for a full and healthy life.  Thank you in advance for your support.
