Help Ceyenne Secure Community Property

Donation protected
Ceyenne Doroshow, Founder and Executive Director of GLITS Inc https://www.glitsinc.org/ has recently lost her father who owned land/properties in Macon Georgia, Pine Bush New York, Cragsmoor New York, Dry Branch Georgia, Ozone Park Brooklyn and Selma North Carolina. If she is able to move quickly and file paperwork to become the Executor of his will she and her siblings would like to be able to use these properties as resources to benefit the Trans and Sex Worker Communities. The potentials for this are amazing! It means we may be able to set up cooperative living communities to have available to community members in need of retreat space to heal after experiencing violence or who are struggling with substance abuse, places to house folks who are leaving incarceration, start self sustaining farming efforts and create long term housing for chronically ill/disabled and aging community members looking for retirement options.

To make this possible and secure these properties, she needs to be able to cover filing fees for paperwork, legal fees, property taxes, and travel expenses to the various property locations. To help cover these costs we are seeking to raise $8,000. If she is able to claim these properties this could be a huge game changer for our East Coast Communities!

Lysistrata https://www.lysistratamccf.org/ is an online based, community run sex worker mutual care collective. As people in the industry, we understand how exploitation plays into our field, like any other job, because sex work is WORK!
Our goals are to protect our autonomy and decision making while also acknowledging that there are people who have lesser access to making choices about their involvement in this industry, to protect folks who have chosen this industry for any number of reasons and to protect folks who didn't by working together as a collective to provide education, exchange life saving information, and provide access to resources. To fulfill these goals, we aim to:

Collect and distribute funds for the purposes of providing financial assistance to marginalized members of our community who are struggling due to illness, injury, homelessness, wrongful arrest/incarceration, unstable or abusive working conditions, domestic violence, discrimination and other factors that affect their ability to make a living.

Promote and signal boost fundraisers and events for other orgs and individuals in the sex work community.

Sponsor, host and/or participate in events/activities that promote sex work advocacy and networking.

Partner with other sex worker led orgs and projects to supplement necessary services and aid visibility for the work that’s already being done in our community.

Support sex worker owned businesses/orgs, assist in the building of new sex worker run businesses/orgs and offer community resources to ease the transition into other fields for those seeking to diversify their skill set and/or leave the industry.

Work towards building financial, living and working structures that are accessible to and benefit the most marginalized members of our community.

Any additional funds raised will go towards GLITS Inc's already existing efforts to feed and house community members in need and towards our emergency fund to assist marginalized sex workers in crisis.

Thank you so much for your support! We look forward to building a new future for our community together with you!
