Help Open Ozark Healing Traditions

Donation protected
First off, thank you to everyone who has helped me over the years to bring workshops, hikes, and healing sessions to Northwest Arkansas and beyond.

Ozark Healing Traditions started off as a blog called Mountain Man Healing about seven years ago. Back then I was participating in a project where I would write about Ozark folk magic and medicine every day for an entire year. Many of those posts can still be found on my website

Soon the blog turned into giving lectures on Ozark history and folk medicine at several local conferences. Then the news spread and I went from just writing and offering spiritual healing to clients, to incorporating in workshops on everything from herbal medicine making to finding and identifying native plants to Ozark folklore and tall tales.

All along the way, the local community has been so warm and welcoming to the information and work that I have dedicated every waking hour of my life to. The amount of people who show up for the workshops and walks never ceases to amaze me. This shows me that there's a want and maybe even a need for this kind of work in Northwest Arkansas.

All of the work I do has been limited to rented spaces and working from home. I'm so grateful to local organizations like Nourishing Traditions NWA, Ozark Natural Foods, and others, for the use of their time and spaces for these workshops. The clients I see for spiritual healing have for years now come into my home for their sessions. This has worked, but it's not an ideal situation. I want to be able to have a space for my clients to feel protected and comfortable.

That said, for a while now I’ve wanted to expand the work I do, and that includes incorporating and have a physical space to see clients as well as hold informative and fun workshops/events. With this space I will be able to devote more time to my community offerings and be able to take on many more clients for healing work.

But I need your help!

Money that you donate will first go towards getting my brand set up as a corporation, and then hopefully toward getting started in an awesome property with lots of space for healing and community events. I don’t have anywhere in mind yet, so I’m open to suggestions!

This has been a dream of mine for years now, and I know that many of you share my vision of having a place in Northwest Arkansas for this kind of work. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

I look forward to moving into an exciting future with you all.

For more information about the work I do please stop by my website.
