Please help us bring Little Erick back home to Canada !
We went on a Christmas Family Vacation to San Andres Island (December 2018), where my husband Erick and his son Little Erick are from. When we arrived in Colombia, Little Erick’s birth mother was waiting for us at the gate. She requested that we let her take Little Erick to the next island over (Providence) where she is living so that Little Erick could spend time with his older brother and sister. We agreed to the visit with stipulations that Little Erick return to San Andres Island 5 days before our departure back to Canada. When the time came for Little Erick to return his birth mother informed us that she would not be sending him back to San Andres Island or to Canada (January 2019).
Once finding out the process and cost to get Little Erick back home to Canada with us and some extenuating circumstances we decided to let Little Erick stay with his birth mother in agreement that he had to be attending school.
We have come to find out that Little Erick has been subject to a few very dangerous situations (drugs and gun violence) and he is not attending school
It is very important to get Little Erick back to
Canada where he can attend a school that can meet his Autism Spectrum needs. Where he is surrounded by family and friends that he has known for the last 5 years. Where he is SAFE!
Please help us raise funds for flights to and from Colombia ( approximately $3,500) the use of an immigration consultant, paper work, translation fees for paper work, food for a week while we are in Colombia going through the process of bringing Little Erick home, loss of pay while being away and care for our other 2 children while we are away.
