Hey friends!

We’re getting REALLY close to receiving a referral for a little girl! As many of you know, we have been in the adoption process for 3 and a half years and we’ve hit several obstacles along the way between agencies and countries closing their doors to adoption. I’m sure some of you have adopted and encountered the same situations, but God is faithful! We know that no plans of His can be thwarted, and if He wants us to adopt, it will happen! We are so thankful that God in His sovereign kindness recently led us to a Christ-centered agency that we can trust. They’ve been helping us speed ahead towards adopting our little girl from India, and for the first time we really feel expectant that we will be able to bring an orphan into our family (and SOON) to the glory of God. We have the privilege and blessing of pursuing this adoption with His adoption of us on our hearts and in our view. He paid the highest price (the death of His only Son) to bring us into His family and make us his sons and daughters. How will He not also help us show the love of Christ to the fatherless!

So many of you bought adoption shirts from us to help us raise funds. THANK YOU!!! Through your help and a generous adoption grant from our amazing church family, we have paid for everything up to the referral, dossier, and travel expenses. We have around $16,000 left to raise, and we will need $11,000 of that portion ready to go within the next month to process the referral when it comes. We covet your prayers and would love any financial support that you feel led to give. THANK YOU! We couldn’t adopt without your prayers and financial help! Please message us if you have any questions about the adoption process or would like more info about our agency.

Much love!

We want to say thank you all so much for all the love and support we received in response to the fundraiser to bring Annie home. We are amazed at the generosity and love of God’s people! Including the week leading up to last night, we were given a total of $14,750!!! Honestly, we are just speechless. We want to be able to thank each and every one of you individually. Unfortunately, as we were counting up all of the donations last night we realized that if you swiped a card on the card reader it doesn’t tell us who gave the money. It just tells us a total amount given. We would love to know what you gave so that we can thank you in person! If we don’t hear from you, just know that your giving was a huge blessing to us. We couldn’t help but look around last night and think of John 13:35 “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." Only the body of Christ would love Annie as if she were their own. We’ll never forget the answer to prayer you’ve been in getting Annie home!

So thankful for you! Much love,

Dylan, Suzanne, Pete, Duke & Annie

After three and a half years, we have been matched with a little girl from India! She is almost 7 months old and lives in Cuttack, the former capital city of Odisha on the east coast of India. She weighed barely 3 pounds when she was found abandoned in a cradle outside the orphanage. We are so thankful the Lord in His sovereign wisdom has matched us with this little girl! We are smitten with her and cannot wait to go meet her & bring her home.

She has a sad blood disorder called Homozygous Beta Thalassemia. We are praying her condition is more intermediate than severe, but regardless, she will most likely need blood transfusions the rest of her life and medicines combatting the build-up of iron in her body from the transfusions. There are complications and pain involved, but we are full of hope for her and are so excited to be a part of the beautiful life God has purposed for her!

The average wait time to bring her home is between 8-12 months from now, but there is a chance that we could go foster her in 6 months and live there with her a few months until we can bring her home to the states. It is unclear what if any medical care she will receive between now and when we can bring her home. Thankfully she has fetal hemoglobin that has protected her body thus far, but between the age of 6 mo.--2 yr. old, she could feel the full affects of the disease from adult hemoglobin replacing her fetal hemoglobin. Please pray with us that the Lord would heal her and protect her, and that we can be with her very soon! We know God is watching over her and will defend, protect, and provide for Annie!

We are needing to raise $12,000 very quickly to keep the adoption process moving forward. We are so thankful for the generous support we have received so far! We couldn't adopt with you guys!
