Help bring Dr Faustus to Edinburgh

We are producing a performance of Doctor Faustus. We are keen to encourage new talent and give opportunities to new performers, and have ensured our cast consists of a mix of seasoned professionals and new actors eager to tread the boards.
But theatre funding is almost impossible to attain today, with many companies self funding and as a result not being able to pay performers. You would be surprised to know the number of shows you see where the performers will come out of it with nothing. Simply because these are self funded productions.
Crowdfunding platforms offer us the chance to reach out to the public and companies and encourage them to help support the arts in a way that ensures those working in it will come out of the project at the very least not out of pocket. And better yet, fully paid.
In order to help us accomplish this, we need to raise as much of the production costs as possible We have to reach £800 in total, but we will also look at further fund raising options as well so we don't rely simply on once source - we aren't lazy and trying to go the easy route. We will be working tirelessly for the next three months on various fund raising ideas because we want to be seen to be putting the work in and not just asking for handouts.
Your donation will help cover costumes, props, fliers, programmes and posters.
Your assistance will allow us to stage Marlowe's Doctor Faustus, a classic text that is hugely popular still and offers the participants an opportunity to take part in a classic text.
Faustus is more relevent to society now than almost at any other time - its a story of desire and greed and the downsides of that greed. Faustus is a man who isnt willing to work for his dreams, instead taking an easy seeming route and trampling on those aorund him. That he gets his comeuppance is something we can all desire in those that are in power that they abuse.
We know there are lots of theatre companies trying to get your attention, we ask you to take a chance on us and help us bring this production to the stage without the worry of making sure performers are paid and the produciton is as high a quality as possible.
This is a direct way to help support the arts, to support young and upcoming performers, and to support an industry that almost everyone benefits from whether it be simply watching or direct participation. But it is an industry horrifically under funded with no signs of improvement... except in this one area: A direct appeal to the audiences and public.
Who will benefit: The public from having art to see, the actors and crew who will be able to work in their dream field. And you, because you have helped to make peoples dreams and goals come true.
