Support for both my parents battling cancer

Starting this campaign was actually quite difficult for me.  Some of you know but a lot of you don’t.  Both of my parents have been battling cancer in the last few years and it has taken a huge toll on our family physically,  emotionally,  and financially.   Unfortunately the fight is not over yet...

In summer 2017, my dad got diagnosed with bladder cancer and has since had chemo and a radical cystectomy to remove the bladder completely.

In November 2018, my mom got diagnosed with cancer in her jaw. She has had multiple surgeries, chemo and radiation treatment and has been fighting an ongoing infection on the site.  

My dad is an incredible chef and my mom’s literally superwoman. They owned a restaurant for 15 years together. However, they have been unable to work or start the business they had hoped after moving down to St. Catharines for the last few years because of their battles with cancer.  Financial stress is making it increasingly more difficult for them to focus solely on their recovery and I have tried my best to alleviate their financial burdens, however it is not enough. 

My dream for them is to focus on healing completely without worrying about the financial burdens cancer has put on our entire family and to help rebuild a life for them. 

Any amount of support is so greatly cherished and appreciated beyond measure. I am forever grateful for your help in our ongoing battle to fight this life-changing disease.
