Help boda Charles pay for arm surgery

Earlier today (Sun 3rd March 2018) boda Charles was knocked off his boda by some goats who ran into the road. He had an X-ray at Nile International Hospital in Jinja, and it shows that his arm is completely broken just above the elbow as well as a number of smaller body injuries. We went to visit him this afternoon and he explained that the cost of the operation that he needs is 3,500,000 UGX (roughly £760). The average wage for a boda driver in Jinja is around 10,000 UGX (roughly £2) per day. He is in a lot of pain and is desperate to get better as soon as he can.

Charles has been our boda driver for over two years. He's friendly, reliable, trustworthy and always helps us out when we're in trouble. When we've been sick he's taken us to the clinic and picked up medicine, he goes out of his way to make sure we get home safely on a night out, he took care of our parents and friends when they were visiting. He has become one of the most important people to us in Jinja and we want to help take the pressure off his family in any way we can.
