Help Barney Reunite with his Family

Barney is our wonderful, loving and devoted dog,  He was taken from us a month ago and is being held at the County Animal Control facility after a series of unfortunate events.  I am a single mom with one daughter, and I'm an artist and also work on contract, doing bookeeping and administrative work for some local businesses. I lost a substantial portion of my income when one of my clients he had the heart attack, and couldn't pay my rent.    I stayed one night at a hotel and was getting ready to load my luggage in my car and had the cart with luggage next to my car,  Barney was on his leash and I hooked it to the cart and got into my car, a few feet away to turn it around so the trunk was facing the cart, when a man who had been watching us walked directly to the cart and dog.  Barney nipped his shin, once.  A report was made, and Barney was placed under quarantine due to his expired vaccinations which I had been unable to afford.  The quarantine took place at my friend's home, where we were staying while I looked for a new job.  While there my friend had her friend over, and when Barney was asleep on the floor, he reached down to pet Barney,  Barney didn't know this man and was startled and bit the tip of one finger.  he didn't continue to bite, but actually looked apologetic.  Animal Control seized him,  Barney has been at their facility in a 5' by 10' cage for a month while waiting for the court hearing.  They would not let me take him home and allowed me to visit once a week for 15 minutes, only to pet him through the bars.  He has not been out of that cage at all.  Animal Control attempted to have him euthanized, and deemed him vicious.  The hearing was April 25th.  My friend's guest who had been bitten testified and was trying to help Barney, and I brought many letters from people who know Barney's good temperament. I  was able to convince the judge to not to have Barney euthanized.  I now have a bill of over $2,300 to pay to Animal Control for board (at $27 per day) and a $700 1 year licensing and registration fee for being potentially dangerous dog.  I also have to buy $200,000 liability policy for Barney, cost $550. I have a new full time job in Tahoe, and started on April 24th, but I am unable to pay the fees for Barney.  BARNEY HAS 15 DAYS FROM THE COURT DATE ON APRIL 25TH, AND THEY WILL KILL HIM since they say he is not adoptable.  They will not let me make payments and I must have full amount by May 10th, and have the insurance policy paid for as well.  Please help myself and my daughter get our wonderful dog back.  We miss him so much.  He is very sad, and hasn't been out of the cage at all for a month.  I raised my daughter with Barney, and he has never been a threat to her. We love and niss Barney very much. Please help us save his life, and bring him back home.
