Help Bambi Get Back on Her Feet!

$880 of $850 goal

Raised by 10 people in 11 months
Little Miss Bambi (ID #415067) is the sweetest 6 year-old Malti-Poo who was abandoned in the Night Drop at Animal Friends of the Valleys when her owners could no longer afford to care for her.

She was born with three working legs and one leg that has not seemed to have worked since birth.

We at AFV are looking to remove the leg for her and allow her to heal in a Foster home so that she can find a new forever family!

The surgery to remove the leg along with hospitalization and medications to help her heal will run approximately $850, which we unfortunately do not have to spare at this time.

Please help us get this little lady back on her feet (if only three of them) so she can live a happy and pain-free life with her new forever family!

Hello Animal Friends!

Thank you so much for your support throughout this process. After months of attempting rehabilitation and monitoring Bambi's condition, it was decided that we were to move forward with Bambi's amputation. Her leg was successfully removed on Monday and she is now happily recovering in her Foster home <3 she is such a strong and sweet little lady, and could not have gotten to where she is today without your help!! Thank you all for your support and your patience through this effort to do what has been recommended is best for this brave girl--you all are true heroes!! <3

Hello, Animal Friends!

Little Miss Bambi went to the vet yesterday, and after a second opinion, we have been advised that amputation is NOT our best option at this time.

Since we raised these funds on the premise that they would be used toward amputation, we will be happy to refund you if you request it.

However, we would like to be able to hold these funds in our Foster Medical Fund to be used toward her rehabilitation and possible amputation in the future.

While she was at the vet, we did get her spayed and got her a full dental cleaning which should help her feel much better, but at this time the proposed course of action is to work on rehabilitation and have her work through this process in a Foster home before she becomes available for adoption.

Thank you all so much for your support and understanding, and feel free to reach out to me at event@animalfriendsofthevalleys.com if you have any questions.

Thank you!
