Help Baby Daniel Kick Cancer!

On October 18, baby Daniel's parents, Melissa and Dan, took him to the emergency department concerned about a bug bite that was making his leg swell up.  Over the next few hours, what started as an infected bug bite, turned into every parents worst nightmare as they were told that Daniel had a mass in his abdomen that was causing the swelling in his leg.  Further testing over the next few days confirmed their worst fears. The tumor was malignant.  On October 23, baby Daniel was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma.  

Melissa and Dan are finding themselves facing an uncertain and scary future.  Baby Daniel cannot go to daycare while undergoing cancer treatment, so they are trying to work out the logistics of providing for Daniel, his 4 older siblings, and running their household, while also juggling the mounting medical expenses.  

Baby Daniel is a happy and busy 2 year old.  He loves his older brother and sisters, cars and Disney.  He loves to eat and to snuggle his mama.  He's incredibly smart and has already proven that he is a fighter!  Doctors said that he would be delayed, that he wouldn't speak, but he is bright and brilliant!  He talks constantly!  He's only 2, but he's the size of a four year old, a gentle giant, always wanting to hug and love on other kids.  He has an amazing sense of humor and loves to laugh and play tricks!  He has a purpose in this world and there is a reason he's here and a part of it.
