Help Babs Beat Pancreatic Cancer

Donation protected
Our Lives Have Changed On May 10, 2018, a father, husband, brother and son - Babatunde (Tim) Esho was diagnosed with locally advanced unresectable Pancreatic Cancer.  Just a few months prior he'd started pursuing his lifelong dream to move abroad to launch his own company in Spain.  Babs was active, health conscious and a healthy person with no prior medical conditions, surgeries or ailments.  And suddenly he started feeling a mild back pain which progressively got worse and eventually moved to his abdomen.  Over the course of several months and being misdiagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome, H.Pylori Virus, and even food allergies- he was finally diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer upon his return to Toronto at Princess Margaret Hospital. With a grim prognosis and no possibility of a cure or surgery, since the tumor had completely encased his 2 major veins and arteries by the pancreas, the only treatment and hope he had was chemotherapy.  My husband was given an 18-month survival and life expectancy due to the advanced stage of the tumor. Unfazed and facing fearful odds, he made a personal vow to fight and stay alive for his family, especially for our two young kids. Miraculous Response to Chemotherapy After 1 round of chemo, he started experiencing uncontrollable nausea and vomiting. After multiple trips to the ER, he was finally diagnosed with obstruction in his stomach caused by the tumor.  On June 3rd, 2018, he successfully underwent a gastric bypass surgery however by this time, he had lost about 45 lbs, out of his normal weight of 160Lbs. With 8 more intense bouts of chemotherapy, the doctors called on September 28th, with the news that the primary tumor was no longer detectable on the CT Scan.  This is a miraculous recovery and response to chemotherapy that is very rare. This new development now makes surgery, which is the only known cure, a possibility. #BlackPantherBeatsCancer One of the nurses at Princess Margaret said Babs reminds her of the superhero Black Panther (T'Challa portrayed by Chadwick Boseman) due to his strong yet calm demeanor even in the midst of difficult times. The nickname Black Panther has stuck with him and has made an impact in him believing he could beat the disease, and help in finding a cure. What has helped so far are prayers, a strong belief/faith, family, friends, and chemotherapy. We need your help so Babs can continue his fight in pursuing a cure for this deadly disease. Your financial support would help him get the miracle he needs. WE NEED YOUR HELP We have a young family - a 2-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter. Due to cancer, Babs has not been able to work and provide for his family. Since the cancer diagnostic, our hopes and dreams have been interrupted and put on hold. With no steady source of income for the past 17 months,  our abrupt move back to Canada from Spain and the overall instability of what the next steps were, we've had to rely on our savings, generosity of close friends and families contributing money to pay for our living expenses, medication, and overall needs.  I (Belinda) will be starting a new job in early November, however, we still need your help/support. Babs' surgery will be sometime in November or December, so your help will go a long way towards our immediate needs. His surgery is a Whipple procedure, which is a complex operation to remove the head of the pancreas, the first part of the small intestine (duodenum) and the gallbladder. There will also be vascular reconstruction (the surgeons will reconstruct his artery and his vein- MAJOR STUFF)!
