Help Aubrey Kick Cancer's Butt!

Donation protected
My sister Aubrey was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma on August 24th, 2018.  She has a total of three tumors: one in her right breast and two in her right armpit.  It is stage 2A with lymph node involvement, triple negative, grade three, and very aggressive.   I don't know what most of all that means - except that even the doctors say it is bad and she has, at best, a very long and rough road ahead for her.

Aubrey, my brother Jason(her husband), and their three boys moved from southern California to Washington two years ago.  This took them far from all the family and friends they had, but it gave them a new start that we were all very excited about for them.  New job for my brother, new adventures and friends for them - things were steadily getting better for them and we were all so happy and proud!  They were finally on their feet again and things were going well!  Then this...

The diagnosis has already begun to take its toll on them.  Jason, has missed many days of work taking her to chemo treatments and other appointments.  Aubrey has been unable to work very often as well because of the toll chemo is taking on her body.  Bills are piling up for them and additional bills are being added to the pile for the medical expenses. Though our entire family is chipping in where we can, it is very hard to help in all the ways they need because of the long distance between us.  We are praying for help to come from near and far, those we know and loving strangers alike.

Aubrey needs to have a total of 16 rounds of chemo, 33 rounds of radiation, a double mastectomy, and reconstruction.  It will be a very long road ahead on a journey they are only a few steps into.  There are no guarantees along the way that this will be the full extent of their journey.

This GoFundMe account is an attempt to raise enough money to enable the family to catch up on bills and cover the missed days of work Jason will have as he helps to care for his wife.  She will need someone there after surgery, and the family is not financially able to have no one working for that time without everyone's help!

If you are not able to give anything to this cause - please, Please, PLEASE  - SHARE the page on any social media you are a part of and get her story out there.  Our family is immeasurably grateful to everyone who helps in any small measure.  Your kind thoughts and powerful prayers are appreciated as well.  Please feel free to comment and share your loving support to Aubrey as she does battle with her cancer.  They are all a huge encouragement to her!

I love my sister so much, and I wish I could just take all this and make it better, but this isn't something we can do on our own.  We need a community of others to stand with Aubrey in her battle; to pray for her, support her, cheer her on, and (if you are able) donate to her financial need.  I don't know what the outcomes will be of her treatment, and I don't know what additional challenges may present for her in the future, but I know she will need every loving voice she can get crying out for her in this fight.
