Help Arnaldo survive this tragedy!!

Arnaldo Gudiel is a father of two lovely little boys and a loving husband.  On January 2017, this humble and loving family had their lives turned upside down.  Arnaldo was rushed to the hospital with severe swelling of the hands and feet that had turned yellow.  

Subsequent exams have shown that he’s suffering from chronic renal insufficiency.  The road ahead is uncertain and full of obstacles for this young family.  

Prior to this he lived a happy life on his small plot of land where he worked the land to make a living.  His situation is more difficult since he lives in Guatemala, a developing country with little resources available to him.  He has no insurance of any kind that he could lean on nor any government assistance, these safety nets are not available to him or they do not exist. Unfortunately, everything is an out of pocket expense. He lives in a rural area with dirt roads and little to no healthcare.  All of these obstacles, make the road ahead a very difficult one.  

Part of his treatment requires him to travel 3 hours once a month to the specialist.  Not only does he have to travel in his condition for that long but he’s progressively getting worse.  He’s unable to work and has become bedridden.  The doctors believe that he might need dialysis and there is a chance that he will need a kidney transplant.  

The picture for him is grim at best.  A subsistence farmer with little resources who lives 3 hours from a treatment center does not have the resources for this kind of situation .

His family in the USA is asking for all the help for him but more importantly for his young sons and wife.  Your donation will help with Arnaldo’s treatment but also with the upbringing of his children. This includes such basic human needs as food, shelter and an education.  Unfortunately, the situation is very uncertain.  This is why we are planning for the future of his sons.  We want to have the assurance that his children and wife have a roof and food if Arnaldo was not with them. 

He is a very humble, caring and loving person that needs all the help in the world. His family, as spread  out as they are, are praying for him and keeping him strong.  Please help me raise money to help Arnaldo and his young family.  Time is of the essence for him, with limited resources, financial assistance is extremely important.

Arnaldo Gudiel es padre de dos niños pequeños encantadores y un esposo muy cariñoso. En enero del 2017, la vida de esta humilde y amorosa familia cambió para siempre. Arnaldo fue apresurado al hospital con hinchazón severa de las manos y de los pies que se habían vuelto amarillos.

Los exámenes posteriores han demostrado que sufre de insuficiencia renal crónica. El camino para adelante es incierto y lleno de obstáculos para esta joven familia.

Antes de esto vivió una vida feliz en su pequeña parcela de tierra donde trabajó para ganarse la vida. Su situación es más difícil ya que vive en Guatemala, un país en desarrollo con pocos recursos a su disposición. Vive en una zona rural con caminos de tierra y poco o ningún cuidado de la salud. Todos estos obstáculos, hacen que el camino por delante sea muy difícil.

Parte de su tratamiento requiere que viaje 3 horas una vez al mes a un especialista. No sólo tiene que viajar en su condición durante tanto tiempo, pero está progresivamente empeorando. Es incapaz de trabajar y se ha postrado en la cama. Los médicos creen que podría necesitar diálisis y existe la posibilidad de que necesite un trasplante de riñón.

Su situación es oscura en el mejor de los casos. Un agricultor de subsistencia con pocos recursos que vive a 3 horas de un centro de tratamiento no tiene los recursos para este tipo de situación.
Su familia en los EE.UU. está pidiendo toda la ayuda para él, pero más importante para sus hijos y su esposa. Su donación le ayudará con el tratamiento de Arnaldo, pero también con la crianza de sus hijos. Esto incluye las necesidades humanas básicas como alimento, vivienda y educación. Desafortunadamente, la situación es muy incierta. Es por eso que estamos planeando para el futuro de sus hijos. Queremos tener la seguridad de que sus hijos y su esposa tienen techo y comida si Arnaldo no esté con ellos.

Es una persona muy humilde, cariñosa y amorosa que necesita toda la ayuda del mundo. Su familia, tan extendida como está, está orando por él y manteniéndolo fuerte. Por favor, ayúdame a recaudar dinero para ayudar a Arnaldo y a su joven familia. El tiempo es esencial para él, con recursos limitados, la ayuda financiera es extremadamente importante.
