My name is Ani Gasparyan, I am a 40-year-old mother of two beautiful daughters.  I am a self-taught cake designer who provides Free custom cakes for families and children in my community who are struggling with illness.  I am grateful to provide a positive, happy memory for families experiencing a difficult time.  https://sugarcraftboutique.wixsite.com/anissweetcreations/cake-gallery   (anissweetcreations.com).

One of the motivations for my passion is that in 2013 at the age of 33, I was diagnosed with Stage-4 breast cancer.  My world has turned upside-down but with my loving family supporting me at every step, I have fought this diagnosis with chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and radiation therapy followed by an oophorectomy, double mastectomy, and breast reconstruction.





Until last year it had stabilized, but then we found cancer had metastasized to three additional places in my spine and neck.  I feel I am starting to lose my battle with cancer but for the sake of my family and everyone I love in this life, I have to be strong and keep fighting hard.  I don’t want to lose this struggle while my girls are still so young.

I have had the best care, but the next stage providing hope is immunotherapy, shown to be promising for those with my condition. However, our insurance does not cover the cost of this therapy.

My husband is a university professor, and we are a single income household. It will be a struggle to make this happen, but we hold on to the hope that this treatment will be a success.

We have identified a clinic abroad that we believe is excellent. We hope to raise funds for treatment over the course of three weeks on-site (Cost of first cycle treatment $30,500.00 USD), followed by a year of treatment at home (Average cost of home treatment per Month $1,600.00 USD), with two follow-up visits at 3 and 6 months and second cycle of treatment  (Average cost of follow-up visits and second cycle of treatment $20,000.00 USD).  My sister Gayane will be traveling with me throughout this deep healing process while my husband stays behind to care for our two girls. As time is critical, I aim to leave as soon as possible to start my treatment.
