Help Amanda With Her Second Fight With Cancer

Amanda Blauvelt is one of my best friends. She is a kindhearted, funny, loving person who will do anything for her friends. She has helped me so much in my life, and I would love to help rally some support to help such an amazing woman. 

In 2015, Amanda was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. She was also found to have the BRCA gene. Amanda took her battle in strde and remained positive. She received chemotherapy, radiation, had a double mastectomy and was deemed cancer free. 

Three years passed since her first diagnosis. She was happily living her life cancer free, working as a hair stylist. Then, in December of 2018, she found a lump. Her doctor confirmed her worst fears: the cancer had returned. It, too, is triple negative. She would require more chemo and more surgery. 

Amanda has already started chemo. I love her like she was my own sister, and I want to do what I can to help her. Cancer is not only a physical buren, it’s a financial one as well. The medical bills are piling up again. She will likely have to be on leave from her job. To see her have to go through this a second time, and have to watch her worry about finances breaks my heart.
