Help Alys & Callum

Life has changed dramatically in the last 8 days for Callum, Alys and little baby Henri.  Callum had been suffering with backache for a few weeks.  He went to A & E with pins and needles.   The next day he was paralysed.  He then waited 5 hours for an ambulance and waited for hours later to be seen by a doctor.

He was sent by emergency ambulance to Walton who operated the next day.  He was in theatre most of the day and he  had a malignant tumour removed from his spine.  They think the tumour is secondary he is still undergoing tests. 

They don't know if Callum will walk again, but he has started to move one leg very slightly.  However Callum and Alys are both very positive and Alys has not left his bedside.  Walton have given Alys a flat to stay in the last week.  However the flat will be needed by someone else soon so she will have to give it up.

Travelling back and forward to Walton will be costly and tiring for the family and a small donation I'm sure would be appreciated.  Maybe money left over could be used for Alys and Callum to have a weekend away somewhere when he eventually leaves hospital.  We don't know results of biopsies so don't know how long recovery will take.  But Callum is eager to start physiotherapy as soon as possible.

Family have been looking after Henri who is a very good baby, his little world has been turned upside down.
