Trans Guy & BFF Need Help!

Hello everyone! My name is Alex and I'm asking for help moving my best friend and me into our own place. My best friend and I are both in our mid-twenties and late-start college students. We both work part-time jobs while going to school full time. This, among other responsibilities, makes it very difficult to save money. I am a trans guy who is not able to be out and open in my current living situation. This is another reason why us moving into our own place is very important. I came out to my family as trans when I was 17. I am now 25 and have not been able to live fully as my true self. When I was 19 my dad was diagnosed with cancer and my mom passed away two months after. Because of these family tragedies, I set myself aside to help my family. Now I am 25 and desperately want to start my life. 

My friend had to grow up young, she was the oldest in the family and had to take care of her siblings early on. She has experienced homelessness from a very young age. She is an amazing artist and has a heart of gold. This experience of moving into our own place would help her be able to focus on herself and her needs and dreams. She wants to be a storyboard artist and I have no doubt she will achieve her dreams. Though sometimes people need a little help in the beginning to make that first leap.

All donations would go towards moving/moving-in costs (first/last rent, application fees, u-haul trailer, gas, etc) as well as help get my car into shape to move us both. New front end brakes and new tires are needed to keep us safe on the road.

We are not expecting the full goal amount, though that would be amazing. We just need some help getting there. We've had some financial setbacks since my car has been having problems and I've had to put all of my savings (about $900) into fixing it now that it is getting older. 

We would need the funds by the end of July or so as we want to finish one more semester at our current location. 

Any amount that can help us get closer to our goal is so greatly appreciated. I want to be able to start transitioning as soon as I am able so moving out and being in an environment where I am able to be myself would help my mental health greatly.
