Help Addie Mae fight DIPG

Adeline "Addie Mae" Underhill was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (or DIPG as its commonly known) after being Airlifted from Sweetwater TN all the way to Nashville Tn's Vanderbilt Children's hospital. We took her to our local ER initially due to a couple of headaches and then she had this sudden paralysis to half her face. We jumped in the right then and there and went. After a CT scan we were told she had a "mass" in her brain. That was 7/30/17. Once she got to Vanderbilt they ran their own tests and told us on 7/31/17 the unimaginable. She was terminal. There wasn't anything they could do except palliative radiation therapy (Addie completed 30 rounds of radiation) and to "go home and make memories". But we couldn't just do nothing so Addie mae started a medical trial in Michigan in June and we have to travel back and forth every 3 weeks at our own expense. If there is anything you could spare to get Addie back and forth for her trial, therapies, medical bills and everything else that comes with having a sick child, I would be forever grateful.

From Addie's Dad, "Straight to the point, no bullshit. Addie's tumor has grown by 25% over the last 9 weeks. We start steroids immediately to combat the symptoms we have been seeing. Decrease in food intake, verbal communication decrease, strength decrease, increase in tiredness, breathing difficulties. We had expected this but it's still a shot to the gut upon hearing the news. Our options are limited, another round of radiation could irritate the tumor initially and worsen symptoms significantly. We are bringing in a radiologist though to talk options anyways. Steroids should help but for how long we are unsure. It's been a long journey and we haven't given up the fight yet. We won't until every option has been exhausted. Addie has been a very curious case since the begining. She's been described as atypical. Will she bounce back? Unlikely yet unknown. The kids in her situation have always progressed rapidly yet she hasn't. So honestly.... I don't know. I'm just dealing with facts at this point. Our new motto is "Make today amazing". That's all we can at this point in time. I'm sorry I don't have better news for everyone following Addie. To all of our family and friends we love you so much and are so thankful for everything that you all have done. Things are more than likely going to start to become very difficult and strenuous. Choices are going to have to be made. Thank you for being there and continuing to be there. Love you all."
And as always if you can donate PLEASE do! And share this update!!
