Help a Good Father Fight for his kids
My 3 Children have always wanted to live with me, now after 7 long years since their mother and I have been separated they have had enough and have taken a stand. They are done with the abuses and overall lack of basic rights they have had to endure in their moms household. They have chosen to live with me and do not wish to go back to their mothers home. Years of asking for more time with me denied, only granted every other weekend (48 days out of the year) and some short holidays even though the court order between their mother and i states I have reasonable and generous access to them. But these guidelines are based of of two parents being able to communicate and doing so with the best intentions for their children, not doing things out of greed or spite for personal gain.
It is very known that Fathers are typically not heard, We are just supposed to pay child support and accept what we are given. Even in an extreme case such as mine where the mother had cheated and forced the father out of the home with nowhere to go. Moved the new guy in to my home within weeks of my eviction. We rarely argued, things seemed totally fine, she was and still is a highly educated stay at home mom that used the excuse "i worked too much" for her Adultery.
I am fighting for my Children, i am fighting for them to be heard and for them to live with me in a safe supportive environment where they can flourish. The abuse they faced in their mothers home is real and their mother continues to just say that all 3 of our children are lying, that a 12, 10 and 8 year old are all conspiring together against her.
Because we have chosen to stand up, my Ex has spent thousands on lawyers, constantly taking me to court , trying to take all rights i have away from me. As soon as i started legal proceedings to properly get my children for just half of the time, she retaliated by coming after me for more money as she knew this would hinder my ability to take care of the kids and maintain my home. Not just higher child support, she asked to go back a full year, this is now a ridiculous amount that has forced my wages to be garnished. With this in place it is making it extremely difficult to cover Rent, pay bills, and continue fighting every legal angle that i'm being attacked on.
My wife and I have a blended family, with my 3 now at home full time there are 7 of us in total that i fully support. We live a modest responsible life, I walked away form my previous home and left it to my Ex (I wanted my children to stay in the home they knew) so we have no assets to fall back on. We have exhausted all savings and resources we had fighting with lawyers.
Fathers have rights too, the mother is not always right or deserving of the support the government deems appropriate. I will continue to fight but all of this takes time and has to be done legally to take effect, until then i need all the help i can get to keep the home we are in and keep my family safe. I am not one to ask for anything, i am a proud Father who has always done what he has to for his family on my own, they are number one. So i have to put my pride in check and know that asking for help like this is for my children, this is for family, this is everything that matters in my life, i have to try everything i can.
