Help Inspire 3000 Kids to Become Ocean Ambassadors

Donation protected
Plastic pollution is a serious issue. Ocean Ambassadors Canada balances that seriousness with an emphasis on fun and opportunity. Ocean ambassadors is a not-for-profit organization founded in February 2017. Ocean Ambassadors is turning the tide of marine pollution by getting participants into the ocean, educating them about the threat of plastics, and empowering them to make real change. We know that young people need joyful experiences in nature that show them the value and meaning of the things we all want to protect.

Ocean Ambassadors Canada offers full day field trip programs for students in grade 2, 5-8. We start these ambassadors on their journey with simple in-classroom curricula— including a 20-minute version of the adventure documentary A Plastic Ocean— that builds to the Ocean Camp workshop day. At Ocean Camp participants delve deeper into the issues, participate in our interactive marine stewardship curricula, and enjoy a fun paddleboarding experience led by certified instructors.

Students are inspired to take action at home, in their schools and in their communities. More than that, students are inspired to use their creativity to take on the world's environmental challenges through their education and career paths. Back in the classroom, students and teachers are supported by our staff to take action through plastic reduction initiatives, educating younger students in the school and community initiatives.

We need your help to give 3000 kids the opportunity to participate in our ocean camp program. Your support will help us create a generation of ocean ambassadors.
