Dry January

£10 of £200 goal

Raised by 1 person in 5 months
As a young woman with EDS, I struggle a lot with pain issues. This year, my goal is to lose weight which will help with my pain management. Going dry for January will help push this! I'm wanting to raise money for a charity that puts more research into my condition!

Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money for The Ehlers-Danlos Support UK and any donation will help. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

More information about The Ehlers-Danlos Support UK: EDS UK was set up in 1987 to support, advise and inform those living with any of the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS). We aim to help people with EDS live a full, active and positive life. Over 30 years later, we remain the only active UK charity that exclusively represents and supports people with any type of EDS. EDS UK strives to educate the medical community, promote continuity of care, improve accurate diagnosis and provide information on specialist treatment and management of the condition.

How it Works
  1. You are donating to PayPal Giving Fund UK, a registered charity (No. 1110538), which will email you a receipt for your donation and claim Gift Aid where eligible.
  2. GoFundMe’s platform is free. The charity will typically receive the funds from PayPal Giving Fund within 15-45 days of your donation if the charity has enrolled (or 90 days if the charity has not yet enrolled). Unlike other platforms, 100% of any Gift Aid will go to the charity as well.
* In very limited cases, a recommended charity may cease to meet PayPal Giving Fund's legal or other eligibility requirements. In such cases, PayPal Giving Fund will reassign the funds to a similar charity, and (wherever possible) seek a new recommendation from donors.
