Hi, I was in a lot of pain earlier this year and ended up quickly requiring a level 2 cervical ACDF spinal fusion surgery. With this, I was working as a contractor and was not provided with paid leave while out for surgery or while trying to recover.

All in all, I'm 90 days post surgery and I am happy that I went through the surgery. I feel so much better that I realized that I must have been in pain for so many years.

 After returning to work, I was laid off, but since I was a consultant... I did not earn any severance, so the stress of being 60 days post surgery with no income and no insurance is seriously frightening

I am trying to pay medical bills, rent and etc while I search for a new job. Any help is appreciated.
