Heather Heaps Slowik Memorial Fund

Yesterday the Slowik Family was turned upside down when wife, mother, and best friend, Heather Slowik was killed in the accident at Exit 99 in Tooele County.  The accident, in some ways, impacted nearly every resident in Tooele County, whether delaying your commutes, interrupting your scheduled activities, or by reminding you that life is precious and re-centering your priorities in life.

I spent the evening last night mourning with the Slowik family and even though I witnessed it first hand, I still cannot imagine the amount of soul crushing pain this family is going through.

Tom, Heather's husband, is the bass player for the band, named Exit 99, a local country band that enjoys playing music for Tooele County's residents.  Exit 99 has a very different meaning for Tom and his family now.

Heather and Tom have several children and one currently on a mission and Tom now finds himself a single father and the sole money earner for the family along with having extra expenses for an unexpected funeral on top of the grief and loss.

Tooele County, please come together to support this family in their greatest time of need.
