A Heart for Sri-Lanka
Donation protected
For most of us education is a daily routine. We go to school, we take workshops or watch educational videos on Youtube. Everyday we learn new things that create exciting opportunities in our lives.
Unfortunately it's not like that for everyone. There're way too many children that don't have access to schooling. These children usually end up working in factories at a young age.
Luckily there're many organisations that help these children. But the question I always have is; where does the donated money actually go to?
That's how I came in contact with 'A Heart for Sri Lanka ', a small group of teachers from Belgium who turned their lives over to a school in Sri Lanka. Every penny they receive goes directly to a school in the small village Madiha
THE PROJECT
The main goal of the project is to provide financial assistance for the underprivileged school children. But also teach the English language to the parents and the children.
The organisation renovates the infrastructure with their own hands or get help from local businesses! Providing the school with tools and modern equipment.
YOUR HELP
Together with your help we would like to support help more children with better education and expand the infrastructure of the school.
We are raising money for direct goals!
It's easy in Belgium to gather materials for the school such as benches, tables and other equipment. But getting it in Sri Lanka isn't so easy. With $2000 we can rent a container and ship everything to the village.
The internet is the biggest source to information. We want to provide a computer and a projector to the school.
Digital technology helps the children further in the future of the world and better job opportunities. With 3 tablets the children can play educational games and learn new things in a modern way.
We want to build a large playground and extra classrooms. The bigger we can make the school, the more children can attend. Parents without work are being payed with the donated money to help build these infrastructures to support the locals.
