Heart Attack & Open Heart Surgery
On March 13th, 2017 my step father Dennis had his 5th and most serious heart attack of his life, and our family desperately needs your help.
Dennis was rushed to the hospital and had a balloon pump put in. The doctors later did an angiogram, which revealed he would be needing major surgery. After that, Dennis was prepped for triple bypass open heart surgery to be performed on March 17th. The procedure did not carry out any major complications but he will require a minimum of a week to recover from the operation before he can be released from the hospital.
Dennis will not be able to return to work for at least 6 weeks. This means my family has zero income during this time. Previous medical events have used all available vacation time, and we currently do not receive any disability assistance, and because of what’s happened we might lose everything we have. Currently we will not be able to afford next month’s rent, electric bill, and car payment. This doesn’t include any of our other utility bills, food and transportation to and from the hospital.
We would really appreciate any help we can get. We need to keep a roof over our heads, the electric on, and food in the cupboards. $15,000 is not nearly enough to cover the upcoming medical bills as insurance only covers 80% leaving us with the remaining 20%, but it might be enough to keep us on our feet until conditions improve.
