Suicide is a silent suffering and very deep sense of pain that many people of all walks face today
With the recent and tragic entertainment losses of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain it shook communities around the world in a unique and sad awareness that bittersweetly has helped reduced stigma attached to this prevalent and very important real life issue
FACT
Did you know that three people die in Ontario every day as a result to suicide? or Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among our youth? Even worse, did you know that six year olds today are now learning how to commit suicide?
Presented by Centre for Mental Health Transformation (CFMHT) #hearME! for Suicide Prevention is piloting it's first annual tour this fall! Our aim is to raise $10,000 for suicide and child abuse prevention by visiting 4 small communities this fall with a team of *Certified Facilitators and local supporters engaging, enabling and empowering all participants with interactive demonstrations, illustrated intervention and prevention tools and take home material and swag to help keep families healthy and community safe.
