Hear Me Project

Donation protected
Logic Film Company is currently requesting donations for a project titled Hear Me, a short film about a teenage girl with selective mutism who joins a theater group to help her speak to prepare for a college interview.

In order to complete this project, we are trying to raise $5,000 for equipment, food for our cast and crew, props, set design, location permits, insurance, etc. as well as helping with the cost of running our internship program so we can maintain a free experience.

If you are unable to donate monetarily, we would ask for assistance to help with food or locations as we are currently scouting areas for our film. You may contact us through our website to have one of our members reach out to you.

Logic Film Company was formed in Bakersfield, CA in 2017.  Our mission is to create smart, quality content by telling compelling stories with rich, emotional characters.

In addition, Logic Film Company is dedicated to utilizing our local community, especially our youth, to both assist us in production while at the same time educating them about the filmmaking process both for careers and hobbies.

We have a functioning internship program free of charge where students can join us on set and work with us to gain first-hand experience with filmmaking to show competency to other film companies or for college applications.

Thank you so much for your assistance.  We look forward to our partnership with you.

Hear Me Synopsis: Kennedy Blythe wants to talk, but can’t. Ever since her mother disappeared, Kennedy has struggled with selective mutism, and being passed through the foster system like hand-me-down clothes hasn’t helped.

When Kennedy comes across an opportunity for a college scholarship, however, she can’t help but dream at moving on and starting over. There’s just one catch: Kennedy has to deliver an oral interview to be awarded the scholarship.

Not wanting to pass up the opportunity, Kennedy decides to enlist the help of a local theater teacher named Megan who specializes in these kinds of cases. Kennedy wants Megan to help prepare her for the interview. But Megan knows the only real way to help Kennedy is to guide her through her trauma. Now Kennedy must decide whether interviewing is worth facing and reliving her past.
