Healthy Bodies Create Healthy Minds

Cedar Hill Elementary is a Title 1 school, located in Lawrenceville, GA. Over 80% of their students come from low-income families and receive free/reduced lunch. Cedar Hill was fortunate enough to receive a $100,000 "Build It With KaBOOM" Playground Grant as a means of overhauling their old/outdated playground.  As a condition of receiving this grant, Cedar Hill and its surrounding community is responsible for raising a financial contribution of $8,500 toward this project, within the next 6 weeks.  It would be almost impossible to raise this amount of money so quickly without community support.

Cedar Hill Elementary PTA is spearheading this fundraising effort as a means of pulling our community together to build something for the students of Cedar Hill that they can be proud of.  Exercise and play is essential for the development of healthy bodies and healthy minds, particularly at the elementary level.
