As a domestic abuse survivor I know that this time of year can get pretty lonely and thoughts of what was or could have been can become overwhelming. (You can read about my own experience by clicking here .)
This Valentine's Day, I am raising money to contribute toward the supplies neccessary to create "Love Boxes" for local victims/survivors of domestic violence (Local to Wilmington, Delaware and surrounding areas). The box will be a small, decorative valentine's day box and include: a valentine's day card (with the option of a personal message), a Pure Religion candle, a small Flawless body butter, a salt or sugar scrub, and a small, potted purple flower to signify the growth, beauty, and healing of the season the woman is currently experiencing.
In order to get these boxes into the right hands, I am working with a local non profit to coordinate anonymous delivery to nearby shelters. Time is of the essence so please send your donation as soon as possible and indicate in your memo any message you would like written in the the card. I will be accepting donations until the 12th in order to give me time to make the products and coordinate delivery. My goal amount is $300 so any amount contributed is appreciated. (The more I receive, the more women that can be blessed.)
