Healing for the Hill Family

You’ve probably seen the news. Fifteen-year-old, Amelia Hill, was lured into running away from home by a 44 year-old man and was sexually abused against her will. It’s an experience that no child and no family should have to go through.
As a community, the Hill family needs your support during this difficult time, because it’s going to take time to heal this wound. Time off of work to spend together, time in individual and family counseling to make sense of what has happened, time to recover from this great tragedy. As a family of nine, time to heal means going into debt. Give the Hill family the freedom to spend time with their daughter, to get the counseling she needs, to reconcile as a family, collectively recovering. And if you don’t have money to give, pray for this family. That their wounds are healed, that their spirits are revived, that their sense of peace is restored.
The family has incurred many costs as a result of this traumatic experience, including the costs of hiring a private detective and the costs of missing work. There will continue to be costs – costs of missing work to heal, costs for counseling and therapy. All proceeds will be used to reimburse these costs that the Hill family has incurred and will continue to incur as Amelia recovers and the family rebuilds their lives together.
