My name is Amanda Talbot and I am what you could call a "language enthusiast". I am more than passionate about other cultures—I am a strong believer that exposure and open-mindedness leads to a happier world.
I am a college student at Penn State University with a double major in Spanish and Italian Language & Literature. I minor in Portuguese.
Recently, I have been admitted to the Tulane University Summer in Brazil program where I will be taking 2 intensive courses at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP) campus, one on Portuguese language and the other on Brazilian culture.
I'm hoping to gain a deeper understanding of Brazilian society and culture, as well as gain a greater fluency in the Portuguese language.
The only problem is the price of the flight.
All of the major travel searches estimate the cost will be between $1100-1300.
As a college student, I can't afford this trip on my own.
I humbly and kindly ask for your help in allowing me to go on my dream study abroad trip!
