What's up with Hazel the Pit Bull? She is a pretty rednose girl who is in need of spay surgery immediately because she has a prolapsed uterus. This is an issue that requires immediate attention so her insides don't end up outside.
Hazel is currently in CT animal control and we are working to help raise funds for her surgery as well as her pull fee so this gorgeous girl can live out her destiny as a service dog for a caring individual in need.
Yes, that's right, Hazel will be trained as a service dog, dedicated to her handler and be a great Spokesdog for this wonderful breed. You see, The Real Pit Bull, Inc, works to improve the plight of Pit Bulls by financially helping individuals like Hazel and her soon-to-be new human, promoting responsible guardianship, and working endlessly to educate. Through our Karma Dogs program, which gives homeless Pit Bulls a chance at a life and new careers as therapy, service and Spokesdogs, we help dogs like Hazel make it out alive, and broaden the horizons for all dogs labeled "pit bulls".
Hazel's emergency spay surgery is $400 and her pull fee is $50. Anything we raise over that amount will go directly to RPB programs so we can further our mission.
