Hayleys Cancer Treatment Fund
Thank you for visiting my Go Fund me Page.
Unfortunately, my treatment options are now coming to an end. The cancer is becoming aggressive, unresponsive and difficult to treat.
Here is a little about me!
I'm Hayley Kalinins, age 35 from Derby.
I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Incureable Secondary Breast Cancer in July 2011.
My breast cancer has spread to my Liver and Lungs. (There is no stage 5)
I have wonderful husband and 4 young children.
In August 2011 i started Chemotherapy and to this day i have been on Chemotherapy every 3 weeks.
Some of the Chemotherapies nearly killed me, however i am still here and have just had my 70th Chemotherapy Treatment. I have responded to some better than others and have been on the most recent Chemotherapy for the past 18 months.
When i was diagnosed i was given just 8 months to live, but have defined the odds against me.
In January we set up a go fund me page with a target of £50,000 to go for Alternative treatment in America.
Before we set out to America to start treatment I had a wonderful consultation with a expert in Nottingham who specialises in private cancer consultancy and working at the forefront of cancer treatment developments around the world.
She advised us about the Hallwang Clinic in Germany and advised us this was one of the best clinics in the world offering the latest Integrated medicine along with alternative treatments.
We came away from this meeting full of hope so contacted the clinic straight away and started further research.
We soon realised the original plan of going to the American Clinic was not the right choice for me….
We set an initial target of £50,000 to get to America, this was including the cost of flights, 3 weeks of Alternative treatments and the stay at the clinic.
We decided to visit the Hallwang Clinic in Germany, First for an initial consultation with the Doctor.
Last week i flew to Germany for the second time to start some treatment.
I had a biopsy taken of the tumour in my breast at a local hospital to the clinic in Germany, then it was a case of getting all the results together from my Biopsy, the private full body pet scan i had to have done in Cheltenham and latest blood results.
On receiving all the results today we now have a plan of treatment at The Hallwang Clinic in
They want to administer to me the latest integrated medicine including immune therapy vaccines.
The cost of the treatment and vaccines far outweighed our initial financial calculations.
The initial cost of treatment over the next 2-3 weeks will cost 100,000 Euros.
The clinic want me to do an initial 2 months of treatment, then i will have another scan where they would expect to see response from the Immune Therapy..
The approximate cost of the treatment for the year will be in the region of £250,000
We found that after all my options ceased within the NHS that private medical treatment is extremely expensive.
The cost of my Private Full Body PET scan was £925.
The initial consultation with the Doctor at the Hallwang was £275.
The cost of the 3 doses of Vitamin C Infusions and Liver detox therapies and accomodation at the Hallwang clinic last week was just over £5000.
The flights. The Car hire.
This totals to approximately £7000.
As you can see it is an enormous amount of money but the Hallwang Clinic offer a more scientific medical treatment plan, these treatments are not available here in the UK or on the NHS, there are no further options left for me here.
These latest treatments could possibly lead to ‘remission’ a word that i have never heard mention in secondary breast cancer in the nearly 5 years since diagnosis.
They have patients at the clinic with secondary breast cancer who have had incredible and unbelievable response from Immune Therapy.
Obviously this means we are going to need to push the fund higher in the hope of securing the treatment plan that the Hallwang Clinic offer.
Please please please can everyone continue to support, fundraise and donate so I can proceed with this treatment.
I hope to give Daily or weekly updates regarding my health, treatment and thoughts. Which I hope to be useful and inform you all of this journey that I am on.
I realise that I am again asking for help but the only alternative is to give up.
I watched my daughter sing the Matilda song last night with a tear in my eye.
The other children were happily playing Monopoly and my husband had just walked in from work.
Family Bliss. Sometimes it is just too perfect.
My 4 children need their mum.
My husband needs his wife.
Please donate what you can, this is life saving treatment for me and my family.
My go fund me page is Hayleys Cancer Treatment fund.

Secondary Breast Cancer.
My beautiful friend Kate turned to me 18 months ago as her treatment options came to an end.
She asked for my advice on the Hallwang Clinic in Germany and after many conversations with both Kate and her partner, and helping with advice on setting up a fundraising page she became one of my treatment buddies out in Germany.
She had an amazing army of Friends who put on endless fundraising events for her and the 'Keeping Kate Party Bus' did amazingly well so she could have treatment and get extra time with her beautiful little girl.
We had so many laughs in very dark times, we shared good news and bad, we totally 'got' each other.
Kate Anne Douglas I will miss you dearly and my thoughts are with your amazing partner who I know you adored and your beautiful little girl.
I haven't coped with this news well, it reminds me of how quickly things can change and makes me realise how lucky I am to still be here.
I spent most of yesterday in tears struggling to cope.
I promise to keep fighting in your memory lovely lady.
Dance with the angels sweetie. One day we will meet again.
A small donation from everyone per month.
Even £5 (The price of a coffee or beer) means I can carry on with treatment and live longer. xx
The day started with a surprised welcome from the hostess 'Mel' from East Midlands Trains as she hoped off the train and said 'Welcome on board Hayley' I was a little taken by surprise that she knew my name then she went onto to explain that they were expecting us
We were shown to our first class seats where we were spoilt further, flowers, prosecco and a light breakfast.
The service from the two hostesses was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble.
As we arrived in London we had ventured into the centre and had a little walk and a light lunch before heading to the Cambridge Theatre in the West End to watch Matilda.
The show was incredible ⭐️
After the show we didn't have too much time before heading home.
I have had a really lovely day with my youngest daughter, my mum and dad.
Memories that will simply last a lifetime.
Once again thank you to the Cambridge Theatre for kindly donating the tickets and a huge thank you to the Trainline and East Midlands Trains for their extremely kind donation of first class travel and hospitality.
And thank you to everyone that has donated to my Go Fund Me Page over the past 2 years to help pay for my continuous Cancer Treatment, without your help I simply wouldn't be here today.
Love Hayley x
I'm looking forward to a very special day out tomorrow with my youngest daughter and my parents!
We're off to London on the train to watch Matilda in the West End.
With special thanks to The Trainline, East Midlands Trains and to the Cambridge Theatre.
Time to make some memories
Today has been a long tiring day in London.
Accompanied by my forever faithful husband, we set off at 9.40am from Derby to London on East Midlands trains.
The past few weeks have been a very worrying time with lots of sleepless nights and thoughts about the future including lots of tearful moments.
We arrived at St Pancras at lunchtime feeling nervous about the day ahead. As always, I knew I had to face everything head on.
While walking through the station the first thing I heard was a man playing the piano. The music made me extremely happy, it's amazing how the smallest thing can change your mood in an instant.
The Piano Man made me think of my son Hayden, I hope one day I get to see him play like that!
London is a busy vibrant city that always takes my breath away, I soon had no time to think about Cancer as we began to take on the day.
After a peaceful lunch and a hot drink to gather our thoughts we had a slow stroll through London hand in hand to Harley Street.
After seeing people with their little dogs in the shops, people spending thousand on clothing, shoes and handbags, and then an actor from Eastenders sat on the floor having a nice chat with a homeless man, we arrived at the Clinic for my appointment.
The oncologist at the clinic reviewed my treatment history from the past 6 and a half years, he was shocked at the extensive harsh chemotherapy treatments I had received while being treated in the initial stages after my diagnosis. He also commented on the lack of care I have had from this country in the past two years...
Realistically, there are no miracle cures and my future treatment plan has to be tolerated in order to achieve good quality of life.
My life is not only about Cancer and Treatments, it is also about my young family and having happy times.
My options are limited and are trial based, this obviously means they are not proven, however we feel they are worth experimenting due to my lack of treatment options now available.
Trials in Japan and Texas are being investigated.
I am going to continue with the chemotherapy tablets in a revised dosage strategy, in order to try and keep my cancer stable until I get on a New Trial.
I will now be in constant contact with the New Clinic daily, weekly and monthly.
The professionalism I received today was outstanding and I feel very confident to be under their care. When one of the worlds leading oncologists says "Hayley you are Brave, Intelligent and your knowledge of your cancer is amazing and inspiring" it gives you confidence in your ability to manage your own treatment and take control.
Your fundraising and well wishes have kept me alive and positive to this day.
As you know I am forever grateful for all the support, fundraising events and donations.
You have kept me here for 2 years after the NHS sent me home to die.
This cancer journey continues and is in my hands.
I've been following your story for a while . Last year I was diagnosed with cancer of the rectum and I head chemo, radiotherapy and direct contact radiotherapy. I am now in remission . I have 4 children who were born close together although they were older than your children when I was diagnosed. I wish you all the luck xx
Hi Hayley, I'm one of Fiona's friends from school. I've been following your journey and donating when I can. I lost my best friend to cancer a few years ago before I had heard of the Hallwang clinic. One of my other friends is a life coach and has really got into Joe Dispenza's teaching's and his belief that the body can heal itself you just need to know how. She introduced me to it this week when I visited as I have my own physical conditions. I'm going t give it a go. And I just thought I would let you know about it if you didn't already. The book I've just ordered of his is called "you are the placebo". Anyway, wishing you all the best, stay strong xx
