Hayleys Cancer Treatment Fund
Thank you for visiting my Go Fund me Page.
Unfortunately, my treatment options are now coming to an end. The cancer is becoming aggressive, unresponsive and difficult to treat.
Here is a little about me!
I'm Hayley Kalinins, age 35 from Derby.
I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Incureable Secondary Breast Cancer in July 2011.
My breast cancer has spread to my Liver and Lungs. (There is no stage 5)
I have wonderful husband and 4 young children.
In August 2011 i started Chemotherapy and to this day i have been on Chemotherapy every 3 weeks.
Some of the Chemotherapies nearly killed me, however i am still here and have just had my 70th Chemotherapy Treatment. I have responded to some better than others and have been on the most recent Chemotherapy for the past 18 months.
When i was diagnosed i was given just 8 months to live, but have defined the odds against me.
In January we set up a go fund me page with a target of £50,000 to go for Alternative treatment in America.
Before we set out to America to start treatment I had a wonderful consultation with a expert in Nottingham who specialises in private cancer consultancy and working at the forefront of cancer treatment developments around the world.
She advised us about the Hallwang Clinic in Germany and advised us this was one of the best clinics in the world offering the latest Integrated medicine along with alternative treatments.
We came away from this meeting full of hope so contacted the clinic straight away and started further research.
We soon realised the original plan of going to the American Clinic was not the right choice for me….
We set an initial target of £50,000 to get to America, this was including the cost of flights, 3 weeks of Alternative treatments and the stay at the clinic.
We decided to visit the Hallwang Clinic in Germany, First for an initial consultation with the Doctor.
Last week i flew to Germany for the second time to start some treatment.
I had a biopsy taken of the tumour in my breast at a local hospital to the clinic in Germany, then it was a case of getting all the results together from my Biopsy, the private full body pet scan i had to have done in Cheltenham and latest blood results.
On receiving all the results today we now have a plan of treatment at The Hallwang Clinic in
They want to administer to me the latest integrated medicine including immune therapy vaccines.
The cost of the treatment and vaccines far outweighed our initial financial calculations.
The initial cost of treatment over the next 2-3 weeks will cost 100,000 Euros.
The clinic want me to do an initial 2 months of treatment, then i will have another scan where they would expect to see response from the Immune Therapy..
The approximate cost of the treatment for the year will be in the region of £250,000
We found that after all my options ceased within the NHS that private medical treatment is extremely expensive.
The cost of my Private Full Body PET scan was £925.
The initial consultation with the Doctor at the Hallwang was £275.
The cost of the 3 doses of Vitamin C Infusions and Liver detox therapies and accomodation at the Hallwang clinic last week was just over £5000.
The flights. The Car hire.
This totals to approximately £7000.
As you can see it is an enormous amount of money but the Hallwang Clinic offer a more scientific medical treatment plan, these treatments are not available here in the UK or on the NHS, there are no further options left for me here.
These latest treatments could possibly lead to ‘remission’ a word that i have never heard mention in secondary breast cancer in the nearly 5 years since diagnosis.
They have patients at the clinic with secondary breast cancer who have had incredible and unbelievable response from Immune Therapy.
Obviously this means we are going to need to push the fund higher in the hope of securing the treatment plan that the Hallwang Clinic offer.
Please please please can everyone continue to support, fundraise and donate so I can proceed with this treatment.
I hope to give Daily or weekly updates regarding my health, treatment and thoughts. Which I hope to be useful and inform you all of this journey that I am on.
I realise that I am again asking for help but the only alternative is to give up.
I watched my daughter sing the Matilda song last night with a tear in my eye.
The other children were happily playing Monopoly and my husband had just walked in from work.
Family Bliss. Sometimes it is just too perfect.
My 4 children need their mum.
My husband needs his wife.
Please donate what you can, this is life saving treatment for me and my family.
My go fund me page is Hayleys Cancer Treatment fund.
EVERY PENNY RAISIED FROM THIS CAMPAIGN GOES DIRECTLY TOWARDS HAYLEYS TREATMENT AND TRAVEL COST IN GERMANY.
RAFFLES AND AUCTIONS CANNOT BE PAID THROUGH GO FUND ME, THIS IS PART OF THEIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS. THESE FUNDRAISING EVENTS HAVE TO BE DONE OUTSIDE GO FUND ME.
THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERY ONE FOR YOUR AMAZING SUPPORT. LOVE HAYLEY XXX
A mixed set of scan results today.
The new trial drug will hopefully commence in about 4 weeks time in Guildford, Surrey. With an appointment hopefully next Wednesday to sign all the paperwork.
Not a set back.... but I need to have stable brain tumours to be excepted onto the trial.
My oncologist wants me to have one more chemo treatment next week with herceptin and the bone injection as there does show a response of reduction in size in my tumours in the liver, lungs & bones.
The Brain tumours have increased in size so an appointment with a radiologist next week to discuss either whole brain radiation or cyber knife. Gutted about this...
The trial will only go ahead if we can get control of the brain tumours.
So a busy few weeks ahead of more appointments and treatments.
Need help with the fund to cover the cost of all the travel if you can think of anything or make a donation?
Thanks for your support. This is tough.
I'm making the most of it, spending time in the garden and watching the children play.
On Friday I had more chemotherapy. It has been tough going but it was a must to try and reduce these pesky tumours before I start the new trial (which is now looking like it will start at the beginning on June)
After struggling with the Chemo and harsh side effects and complications my cancer has thrown at me over the past 2 months, this new Drug Trial can not come soon enough.
I am trying to carry on even when I'm feeling so poorly but this has been a real struggle. The children have also found it extremely difficult seeing me so ill.
I'm on a large amount of pain relief now and have had to introduce steroids to control the inflammation and extreme pain from the tumours in my Brian.
Being in the awful situation put's everything into perspective in life.
We won't have a family holiday this year as treatment has to come first. I find it difficult not having something to look forward too as I absolutely love our yearly family holiday.
I'd do anything to get away from it all, but it's just not realistic.
I will let you all know once I have an exact date to start the new trial and keep you updated.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support me. My amazing oncologist in London, my wonderful husband and close family, the small circle of friends that have stuck by me without getting 'fed up of it all' and to everyone on here for your endless supportive messages and donations.
I will carry on.
We still have to fundraise to help with the cost of my supportive treatments and travel costs. Please help if you can spare a small donation per month. Forever thankful x

I've been following your story for a while . Last year I was diagnosed with cancer of the rectum and I head chemo, radiotherapy and direct contact radiotherapy. I am now in remission . I have 4 children who were born close together although they were older than your children when I was diagnosed. I wish you all the luck xx
Hi Hayley, I'm one of Fiona's friends from school. I've been following your journey and donating when I can. I lost my best friend to cancer a few years ago before I had heard of the Hallwang clinic. One of my other friends is a life coach and has really got into Joe Dispenza's teaching's and his belief that the body can heal itself you just need to know how. She introduced me to it this week when I visited as I have my own physical conditions. I'm going t give it a go. And I just thought I would let you know about it if you didn't already. The book I've just ordered of his is called "you are the placebo". Anyway, wishing you all the best, stay strong xx
