Hayleys Cancer Treatment Fund
Thank you for visiting my Go Fund me Page.
Unfortunately, my treatment options are now coming to an end. The cancer is becoming aggressive, unresponsive and difficult to treat.
Here is a little about me!
I'm Hayley Kalinins, age 35 from Derby.
I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Incureable Secondary Breast Cancer in July 2011.
My breast cancer has spread to my Liver and Lungs. (There is no stage 5)
I have wonderful husband and 4 young children.
In August 2011 i started Chemotherapy and to this day i have been on Chemotherapy every 3 weeks.
Some of the Chemotherapies nearly killed me, however i am still here and have just had my 70th Chemotherapy Treatment. I have responded to some better than others and have been on the most recent Chemotherapy for the past 18 months.
When i was diagnosed i was given just 8 months to live, but have defined the odds against me.
In January we set up a go fund me page with a target of £50,000 to go for Alternative treatment in America.
Before we set out to America to start treatment I had a wonderful consultation with a expert in Nottingham who specialises in private cancer consultancy and working at the forefront of cancer treatment developments around the world.
She advised us about the Hallwang Clinic in Germany and advised us this was one of the best clinics in the world offering the latest Integrated medicine along with alternative treatments.
We came away from this meeting full of hope so contacted the clinic straight away and started further research.
We soon realised the original plan of going to the American Clinic was not the right choice for me….
We set an initial target of £50,000 to get to America, this was including the cost of flights, 3 weeks of Alternative treatments and the stay at the clinic.
We decided to visit the Hallwang Clinic in Germany, First for an initial consultation with the Doctor.
Last week i flew to Germany for the second time to start some treatment.
I had a biopsy taken of the tumour in my breast at a local hospital to the clinic in Germany, then it was a case of getting all the results together from my Biopsy, the private full body pet scan i had to have done in Cheltenham and latest blood results.
On receiving all the results today we now have a plan of treatment at The Hallwang Clinic in
They want to administer to me the latest integrated medicine including immune therapy vaccines.
The cost of the treatment and vaccines far outweighed our initial financial calculations.
The initial cost of treatment over the next 2-3 weeks will cost 100,000 Euros.
The clinic want me to do an initial 2 months of treatment, then i will have another scan where they would expect to see response from the Immune Therapy..
The approximate cost of the treatment for the year will be in the region of £250,000
We found that after all my options ceased within the NHS that private medical treatment is extremely expensive.
The cost of my Private Full Body PET scan was £925.
The initial consultation with the Doctor at the Hallwang was £275.
The cost of the 3 doses of Vitamin C Infusions and Liver detox therapies and accomodation at the Hallwang clinic last week was just over £5000.
The flights. The Car hire.
This totals to approximately £7000.
As you can see it is an enormous amount of money but the Hallwang Clinic offer a more scientific medical treatment plan, these treatments are not available here in the UK or on the NHS, there are no further options left for me here.
These latest treatments could possibly lead to ‘remission’ a word that i have never heard mention in secondary breast cancer in the nearly 5 years since diagnosis.
They have patients at the clinic with secondary breast cancer who have had incredible and unbelievable response from Immune Therapy.
Obviously this means we are going to need to push the fund higher in the hope of securing the treatment plan that the Hallwang Clinic offer.
Please please please can everyone continue to support, fundraise and donate so I can proceed with this treatment.
I hope to give Daily or weekly updates regarding my health, treatment and thoughts. Which I hope to be useful and inform you all of this journey that I am on.
I realise that I am again asking for help but the only alternative is to give up.
I watched my daughter sing the Matilda song last night with a tear in my eye.
The other children were happily playing Monopoly and my husband had just walked in from work.
Family Bliss. Sometimes it is just too perfect.
My 4 children need their mum.
My husband needs his wife.
Please donate what you can, this is life saving treatment for me and my family.
My go fund me page is Hayleys Cancer Treatment fund.
I find myself in a very serious situation with my health, many people do not realise how serious... mainly because I'm looking and feeling incredibly well at the moment.
I never imagined I would be diagnosed with Stage 4 Incurable Breast Cancer at the age of 30.
Every single person that has helped me, supported me and donates towards my treatment is Saving my life, I'm here feeling amazing and have had a wonderful Easter with my 4 Children
I will never ever give up....
I feel I am the strongest woman in the world to fight this... but can only do so with your continued support.
I have to continue with Immunotherapy in Germany, please continue to help, support and donate to keep me here via the link below.
I am eternally grateful to everyone who supports me
Please share as far and wide as possible.
Help Hayley Live with Secondary Breast Cancer by supporting her Private Immunotherapy in Germany after the NHS sent her home to die in January 2016 after 80 rounds of Chemotherapy.
This time last year I was in Germany starting out on my new treatment plan.
I missed out on the Children's Easter Holidays.
I have had complete trust and faith in my Doctors in Germany since day one.
Thank you so much to absolutely every single person that has supported me over the past year. I am so happy to be alive and feeling well.
Long may it continue.
Let's keep to fund going so I can continue with treatment.
I'm due back for a top up of treatment the week commencing 9th May. The estimated cost of treatment is £30,000 for this trip x
Love to all and Happy Easter
Yesterday the children broke up for their Easter Holidays.
I love this time of year! Spring is here, the garden looks lovely and we can get out in the fresh air without freezing and putting 10 layers on ☀️
I love having them at home and spending quality time with them! We haven't any plans over Easter. Just some trips to the Park and enjoying the simple things in life.
I'm currently feeling amazing.
Full of Energy and Life.
I haven't got to go back to Germany until the 8th May for my next 'top up' of treatment now my amazing doctor and myself have my Cancer under control.
I'm in a really happy place at the moment and I am feeling positive about my future of living with Cancer.
I am happy to announce I am in the process of setting up Hayleys Cancer Fight up as a Registered Charity, so I can help people 'live' with cancer. (More details about this will be announced very soon )
We have a few exciting fundraising events that will be announced very soon too.
It's hard work, but as we know the treatments are working every donation that is made goes towards keeping me alive and most of all... keeping me well..
I know I have said this one hundred times but I'm so thankful for everyone's support and help on my journey. You are simply amazing.
When people are routing for you, it's one of the most uplifting feelings in the World
I have received so many messages due to this page reaching so many people over the past year....
It is not only helping myself but it is also helping so many others without people realising.
Keep donating if you can so I can continue treatment.
Love to all and Happy Easter
I've been following your story for a while . Last year I was diagnosed with cancer of the rectum and I head chemo, radiotherapy and direct contact radiotherapy. I am now in remission . I have 4 children who were born close together although they were older than your children when I was diagnosed. I wish you all the luck xx
Even though you have reached your target I would still like to donate because every little bit will help towards all the extra expenses involved. I have followed your story for a long time now and I am so pleased that you are now looking into alternative therapies that will helpfully help to heal your body from all the masses of chemo you've had to endure over the years
Sharing this and sharing your story with the world will help open the eye's of so many other's who are losing hope... Love and hugs Hailey to you and to your lovely family, I know only too well the worry they are all going through, All of you are in this together and all of you need this help...Love you x
