Hartford to Haiti Hurricane Relief

South Church in Hartford CT partnered with a church in Southwestern Haiti in 2012.  Since that time, we have opened a school and over 100 children attend there every year.  
In October Hurricane Matthew tore through the village of Camp Perrin where the school and church are located.  The building was devastated, half of the walls and most of the roof are gone.  The kitchen area out behind and the outhouses are also gone.  Many of our families homes have been washed away or severely damaged.  Many have lost family members and most are starving.  
Our ultimate goal is to rebuild the school and church.  However, the urgent need is for food, clean water and medical care.  Starvation and cholera are current realities.  The money that you donate will go directly to the people of this church with the help of BEM Haiti.  Members of our team will be travelling to Haiti to distribute food and water and medical treatment.  We will also be travelling to Haiti in June to aid in the rebuilding of this school and church.
