Avery Ann Burns passed away
Little Avery Ann came into this world a feisty little girl despite her 1 lb 7 oz. We were told that she likely wouldn't survive in the womb. Well she made it. She was doing great and we knew she was going to be a pistol. Avery rollercoastered up and down, but she couldn't shake an infection. Doctors and nurses carefully looked after her. We love her and fought with her. We lost her on Friday night. We will miss her forever. We will celebrate her life with her sister Harper. Please keep us in your thoughts, but give us privacy. We are grieving the loss of our little girl and need the space the heal.

As some of you may know, my best friend from childhood, Mike Burns, and his wife, Nicole Burns; Adrienne Abela's Sister, recently welcomed two little girls into their lives. On October 4th, Harper Elyse Burns (1lb 15.4oz) & Avery Ann Burns (1lb 7.1oz) came rushing into this world. These two little angels are built like their parents, ready to take on any challenges that lie ahead. Nicole and Mike would never ask for your help, which is why I am doing it for them. Harper and Avery will be in the NICU for the next few months growing strong. During this time Mike and Nicole will have to drive back and forth from Sonoma to Walnut Creek to see the girls. Gas, medical bills, and sometimes the need to for accommodation near the twins are only a few examples of expenses they will be facing.
Please help Adrienne and I support Mike and Nicole by providing a little peace of mind as they grow with their baby girls. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and from all the Burns’ supporters. It takes a village to raise children, now let us all prove how MASSIVE Nicole and Michael's village is.
With Love and Gratitude,
Ben Goldberg & Adrienne Abela
